Correct. I bought, but didn't get a key=refund. Started downloading right away this time, just in case.

In regards to the the Sleeping Dogs (quite superb) 91% pricing error...

Even if it's an option for Steam to process refunds, these things will first come down to whether it's worthwhile from a business point of view. And when you take into account the time and hassle factor (in other words 'costs') involved in processing that many small individual refunds, plus the key issues and the resulting user backlash via support desk and forums etc, it simply just ain't worth it.

Indeed, there's sometimes much more indirect value in a business making these mistakes...
...unless you do it on the scale of GamersGate's immense Bethesda Pack cock-up! :)

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut @ Gamersgate - 2

I'm pretty sure most people already own this but for those few that don't it's a nice deal.

Sadly it looks like the 5% off code is no longer working.

It's 1,99 on Steam and you can grab a DRM free backup by registering it on GoG.

Is Football Manager 2013 worth upgrade for reasons other than potential opponents are probably moving to it?

What was really nice was getting witcher 2 on GMG for $12 back when he normal price was still $40 and being able to activate it on GOG.

Not a bargain, but I just noticed that Sacred 2 was re-released on Steam before the Christmas sale. I enjoyed most aspects of the first one, but the near instantaneous enemy respawns forced me to throw in the towel. Any comments on the sequel?

The Steam page is back to normal, and gives me a feeling not unlike a hangover.

Silently, Jagged Alliance: Back in Action and Crossfire have been 75% off on GreenManGaming and still are if you want to snap them up. Comes to $17.50 or so together.

EDIT: Plus there's a 20% off voucher currently available.

I've heard a lot of back and forth on that. Would they be worth it?

If you want JA2, go play JA2

If you want a fun game in the same genre, they are fun, but flawed, approaches.

If you are a hardcore JA2 fan looking for something to play: Consider skipping the original and only getting the expandalone. Should be easier to swallow that it is a different game.

If you want me on either service, I suggest PMing me here first to let me know who you are.

Well, they're normally $70 together. I didn't expect any lower offers to show up.

That being said, I'm having a hell of a time trying to create an account (eg. it's stuck loading after hitting submit).

I used to get that but now I think it's more of a relief - we've had over a month of bargains, almost to the point you could have offered me Christina Hendricks on Toast and I'd have asked for something off ;)

Will be nice to get back to normal and ignore games until they show-up in bundles :)

I didn't get past it's demo - the reviews are uniformly poor stating allsorts of technical issues, repetitive combat, lack of actual strategy etc. etc.

Of course they were reviews of a 30 games (2 30 games in fact) so YMMV but...
