My card sometimes ask me to enter 2 random digits of my pin and 3 random digits of a password associated with the card when making purchases. It depends on if the site and your bank supports that safety feature (which I believe is implemented for Visa).

The PIN is for the authentication device, not for the website. I usually only use it with my debit card, but sometimes the payment processor asks me to use it for the credit card as well.

Amazon is giving away a free copy of Stronghold HD if you try Stronghold Kingdoms. You'll be prompted to make an account with Firefly Studios (I used a throwaway e-mail and didn't have to confirm anything) and then you should get an e-mail from Amazon informing you that you have a $5.99 promotional credit to use on Stronghold HD. I downloaded the installer for Kingdoms but I didn't have to use it; I don't think that's a necessary step.
