Buy the Two Worlds 2 bundle. It's fun as fuck. The magic system is amazing, early on you get to summon dozens of anvils and barrels to drop on your enemy's head and it just keeps escalating from there. The writing and quests are usually hilarious. You get to visit an African savannah, an Egyptian desert (comes with FORBIDDEN TOMBS), Middle-Eastern, East Asian and Mediterranean regions, and rock album fantasy regions complete with Not-Orthanc towers of doom. It has proper dark and scary dungeons and enemies that can kill you in two hits. It has rhynos, shit-flinging monkeys and enemy umbrellas. I'm not aware of any rideable ostriches, unfortunately.
It also looks absolutely incredible and runs at over 9000 fps on any relatively modern system.
The dungeons are really dark.

GamersGate has 33% off their Codemaster Catalog for the weekend, notably reducing the price of GRID to $10.02.
For someone who enjoys the odd racing game, is that a worthy price? Also, can anyone shed some light on how well the game runs? Because currently I'm trying to play NFS:Shift 2, but I find it doesn't much like my limited amount of memory (2GB).
I rather enjoyed GRID, and I'm not generally that into racing games. It's pretty old now though, and Codies tend to discount heavily in Steam sales etc, so it's up to you what you want to pay, really. There is a demo if you want to test performance etc.
Yes yes, play the demo, it's a great game, the pioneer of time rewind in the codies racers.
If you want try and play multiplayer you'll be needing http://www.gameranger.com/ as the multiplayer service was terminated by codies, poor form, but on the bright side "custom cars" are no longer a blight.
