Thread: PC Bargains

Street Fighter X Tekken is £7.82 at the moment on Steam, how is the pc port and scene? Are there better alternatives for PC one-on-one fighters?

NOTHING has more DLC than TS - in total it says I can add £1740.74 of DLC to my cart - that includes some discounted ones and as I once bought Railworks, some will be missing or marked 'bought' I guess??

That's actually a bit ridiculous - it makes Candy Crush Saga look cheap to play :)

I can confirm (based upon description match) that is the specific one Amazon US are selling.

How much does it cost to buy every hat in TF2?

Not quite the same thing is it? You can MAKE hats - it's more in-game currency than DLC - I'm sure people spend fortunes (check tf2outpost.com) but it's not quite the same...

Some of the hats are limited and can't be bought or obtained anymore, so lots depending on what the few guys who have those specific hats decide to charge you.

There's also a couple of one off hats (as in one in world) that you can't buy because they can't be traded.

Over at GMG you can pre-order Batman: Oranges for €36 using their 20% off discount code and for the duration of the weekend while the entire Batman collection is on sale.

Agreed, but you're the one who started comparing simulators to games.

If you find TS ridiculous talk to a few sim buffs, their spending habits might impress you. FSX addicts and iRacers spend a fair amount of money on their hobby (but most of them are nowhere near to F2P whales)

The only impressive part is they tend to focus 90+% of their budget on a few titles, but even that is hardly surprising because there's a gazillion games and maybe 2-5 titles that are worthy and/or interesting for a given person who's into simsomething.

And, BTW, you can spend just as much, if not more, to pre-order or buy at launch a few AAA games.

I just think its a silly subject to complain about. It's not even unusual in sims, it's just that Train Sim is on Steam and shows all the extras you can buy in one place. Buying every FSX addon ever made for it would likely add up to a lot more than Train Sim's DLC, but no one even thinks about that because it's not advertised through a popular gaming storefront. The "gotta catch em all" mentality is weirdly widespread amongst gamers, probably not helped by game packs on sale with 50 pieces of utterly insignificant DLC for an extra 50 pence.

Any ideas on this one guys? I'm wondering too.

Loved SFII back in the day and wouldn't mind another fix. Is this a good option? I'm not bothered about online so much.

At the Eurogamer Expo, I think. Might delay things a bit.

I concur. You'd be shooting yourself in the foot if you didn't play this. But that's also likely to happen when you do play it. So... just get it.
