Dual Pegasus. Best decision I've ever made.

"Quantacat's name is still recognised even if he watches on with detached eyes like Peter Molyneux over a cube in 3D space, staring at it with tears in his eyes, softly whispering... Someday they'll get it."
that launches 2 missiles 2 dmg each for the price of 1 missile.

The 3 energy bar missile lawnchair that lawnchairs two missiles of two damage each.

But what about the raw cat guts?
Also: Try going through 8 sectors with only those 4 mini-lasers on the Red-Tail. And then killing the mommaship with those and one anti-ship drone.
Haven't been playing the game much lately, but I found myself playing this quite a lot:

"You take the Klingon's detached hand"
I now demand someone mods a weapon that fires lawn chairs covered in raw cat guts. Why kill the enemy when you can gross them into suicide?
I'm still playing everytime I get around to it. it's an addictive little timescrewer.
I have now unlocked all ships including their alternate layouts, except the unknown ship. is there a place where I can get that stasis pod with a higher probability?
Not sure, but I think it's easier to find it in Uncharted Nebulae.
I got the stasis pod again last time, with the stealth cruiser B. I'm pretty sure there was no environmental hazard involved in that encounter. It might not have been wise to switch out the automated reloader for the pod, because I was tearing everything up with the glaive beam that comes with the ship. I found the Zoltan homeworlds soon after, but I didn't get to enjoy them because three jumps in I was killed by an Auto-Assault with three blips of shield and way too many weapons. Sadness.
That was on Normal, by the way, which became significantly more enjoyable once I'd started whooping ass everywhere on Easy. I think the way to best enjoy this game is to play it on Easy until you defeat the flagship once, and then play on Normal for the rest. The tension is back!
Every time I've found it it was on engi space, and the same happened to Alec on his AAR, so I'd figure that's the best place to look.
I think you have a MUCH higher chance to find it with the Rock Cruiser. I've found it in 5 out of 5 runs in it so far. Got the Crystal crew member once too, but no luck after that.
Yeah the Rock Plating blue option gives a 100% chance of getting the pod from the asteroid field event.

Had my first win against the Flagship. On Easy, with Red-Tail. I'd changed 2 of the Basic Lasers to Heavy Lasers, had a Rock-man and Hu-man for teleporting, cloak, 4 levels of shield 48% evasion. Couldn't repair full after the first battle, and couldn't repair at all after the 2nd, but still won with at least a quarter of my hull in tact.
Booyah!
Now I have the confidence and experience to tackle another AAR, on Normal, of course.
weekendwarrio.rs - We've got more games than time...
Oooh, I defeated the flagship for the first time (on easy obviously).
I used the trusty ol' Torus. Managed to beat it using drones to attack it (supported by a burst laser) while I concentrated on surviving.
I discovered another event I hadn't seen previously. There was a rebel fighting a Zoltan over some sort of nature preserve. Details:
The rebels wanted to make contact with the alien species on a nearby planet, which the Zoltan were to protect so they wouldn't get caught in the conflict. I had the choice of making first contact myself, or to kill the rebels and leave the aliens alone. I went with the latter option, although I suspect the former might have been more beneficial.
Has anyone else found that?
