Hope that list is incomplete, because no Geneforge on sale makes me a sad person.

Have they always worded it "Holiday sale 20** Gift"? It seems like they might only be cheap if you buy them as a gift to other people. Seems like something Valve might do. Christmas presents all round!

Using that same train of logic, I wonder if they are going to sell games in bundles of 4 or something in addition to singular sales -- say Skyrim is on sale for $40, but you can buy a bundle of 4 for $140, making it $35 a copy and allowing you to gift it to other people for christmas.

Often, its cheaper to buy the bundle when its available and split it then the full game.

These are the titles that are going to be featured in some sort of gifting scheme similar to the 2010 Thanskgiving sale (10 copies of Half Life 2 for 20 bucks types of things).

Still going to be plenty of sales in general (only about 200 games in that registry update when a typical big Steam sale has close to 2000 games on sale), these are just the ones that have had changes in some way.

I kind of hope the list is incomplete. The one game that I'm planning to buy is on there, but these sales always manage to surprise me. (or could it be that I just have every game I could possibly want? Not gonna rule that out)

The gift thing could be like the packs of 12 or so games that they did a while ago.

Frozenbyte has explicitly said that Trine 2 was not going to be on the steam christmas sale. So it would be a bit weird if it actually does.

"Valve Gift Grab" achievements added to CS:S and DOD:S; may be related, maybe not.

Not sure what happened to the first link, but it doesn't really matter.

Looks like Valve is doing something similar to the summer sale, here's a list of the added Christmas achievements: http://steamtreasurehunt.wikia.com/w...ing_Objectives
Grand prize this time is every Steam game.

Jesus Murphy that's a lot of games. What would that value your Steam account at?

That'll be a bit of a Steam backlog.
Give me steam and how you feel to make it real.

Curse, definitely curse. I'd rather buy about 5 games that were brilliant and entertained me than have all the games on steam. A long time ago, when I pirated games, I never really enjoyed them, simply because there were so many I couldn't appreciate it. I miss when gaming was waiting for your birthday/christmas and you got a new game and played the hell out of it regardless of whether it was good or not.

Yeah, considering the sheer amount of shit that's on Steam (have you SEEN how many Nancy Drew games there are???) I'm leaning towards "curse."

Now, it would be interesting if Valve gave you a giftable copy of every game on Steam.
