    Essential Baulder's Gate Mods?

I jumped on the $10 Impulse D&D Anthology, and I am starting up Baulder's Gate. It has been about 12 years since I have played the games, and I remember people talking about the awesome mods that exist for it. What are some essentials?

Also, if you can suggest any good ones for the other D&D Anthology games, that would be swell. They are:

    BG 1 & 2
    Icewind Dale 1 & 2
    Planescape Torment

TUTU would be the first I'd recommend. Allows you to play Baldurs Gate 1 in the BG2 engine.

Per Sproutmask's post in the "What are you playing?" thread, this guide sets up a fairly ideal configuration for modern systems, and discusses the options:

The widescreen mod here works on the IWD games as well, and there's an Unfinished business mod for IWD 1 that's worth using.

As to Planescape, here's a guide:

An alternative to TUTU is Baldur's Gate trilogy, which basically lets you play the entire series in one giant continuity.

But anyway, for first time users I'd pretty much suggest, aside from TUTU or trilogy, what a lot of these older games have: Bugfix patch, restored content, and widescreen, and that's about it for the first timer.

You might want to consider the banter pack: http://www.gibberlings3.net/bg1npc/index.php It adds a lot of extra dialogue and personality to the npcs. It's mostly quite well written, although I recommend not installing the optional romance dialogues.
