I especially love the GUI that explains, "in case the entire screen enveloped in flames weren't clue enough, your party is dead."
I like wen in Grimrock all your members are dead, except one mage. I imagine a wizard using the dead bodies of his comnrades as a defense wall. Then if he survive, I imagine such wizard drawing the dead bodies of his comnrades to the cristal, to revive then.
Grim rock is a rather grim game.

On the level posted above by Anthile I had all but my rogue die very early to the ogre and those fucking spiders. I spent a long time exploring the level, evading baddies and collecting items to open enough doors to finally find the resurrection stone. I let out the biggest sigh of relief when I finally found it and must have spent an hour or so running for my life and mapping.
