Being probably the best film adaptation in nothing special, but the game itself is still good. UI-less FPS are something of a rarity. Technical-wise is quite crappy, but it's manageable.

As far as i'm concerned Riddick still holds the title of best movie based game. Kong was decent but nothing special if I remember correctly.

Indeed, Riddick is a HUD-less movie-based FPS and it's also great. I'm a King Kong fanboy, but both are well worth it.

The HW2 imgs are making me wonder why I never played it. I loved HW1 more than anything.

Kong decides to interrupt our raft trip. How rude.

    And I present you, Kong

And there we have it. The next shots will be in New York, hopefully with the SECRET ending.

Based on my experiences with Gamestop, I imagine they were mostly just looking for a way to get a kid who was loitering out of their store.

Now I know where Assassin's Creed got the idea of each enemy attacking one at the time. No rudeness from V-Rex too.

Ooh, new tileset. Was it added with the Steam workshop update? I'm going to have to play some more TL2 it seems.

Yeah amongst some workshop stuff, added a couple of new tile shots. Supposedly these dungeons (both single floor ones, no boss although there are some elites) appear more readily the further you are into the game, but as I was already about 2/3 into Act 3 by the time I got the update so I couldn't tell you about anything added beforehand. What I will say though is that both tile-sets were cool, but the Nether Realm has a much cooler feel to it, being completely alien. I mean that path pretty much highlights what I mean. In the map I had, there was a few of those tight and twisting paths that connected a few islands.

I only usually play TL2 now while listening to podcasts (well, podcast, the Giant Bomb one) so each week it's about 3 hours of play-time. I can definitely tell you though that it reset that part of the map. I was inside one of the Act 3 dungeons in the Sundered Battlefield and when I emerged, the map had gone. Not a big deal (got to visit Notch's cave twice!!) though. A lot of the mods seem really cool though, even simple ones such as extending storage space.

    And Kong finally ends.
Or doesn't, if you rack up the required 250 thousand points, and get a gimmicky flight sequence. No wonder it was cut.

    And there's the alternate ending.
You must get 250000 points, or 170% of the game for me. As Kong, if you don't die in a certain amount of time, Englehorn and Jack come in the seaplane to destroy(!) searchlights and other planes.
The controls are a bit poo.

    Looping around.

    You can even get destroyed.
