@The Banner Saga: I am a (tiny) bit hyped for this game. Hopefully, it will see a DRM-free release somewhere down the line. GoG has it listed as "coming soon".

God damn you Rockman! I've been fighting the temptation to buy Hitman Contracts on steam for weeks and you've just swayed me over the edge! ;)

@SephKing Are you using that realism mod someone posted here, or it's something else?

I am indeed. Think I posted it but may be wrong :) Graphics wise, I'm using sweetfx.

I once ramped my submarined over a half-sunk wreckage in Silent Hunter 3, it was the first time I saw the game, and in a training mission, I told a friend 'lets try this!', and it worked. We never managed to repeat that feat. T'was a lovely game! How is SH4? I've heard its worse then 3.

My brother liked it very much, but I don't think he ever played another Silent Hunter title other than 4.

@ SephKing: do you like what the realism mod does to your game?
Want to add me on Steam? Steam name: Mr. Gert

I think SH4 is better than SH3. SH4 fixes a lot of the more annoying issues with SH3, also the addition of objectives gives you a little more variety than just patrolling a grid number. I know some people dislike 4 for being set in the Pacific which for some is a less interesting environment than the atlantic, that might be where some complaints come from.
If anyone does decide to play it, I recommend one of the mega mod packs. They fix a lot of vanilla issues such as the ridiculous amount of sea and air traffic.

    World of Tanks.

Me in my AT-8 scout tank (tier 8 game and the guns I have so far can't do much to most tier 8s, so I went ahead to spot, and actually managed to too). Artillery does like AT-8s...

How on earth did you 'go on ahead' in an AT-8. Were the rest of your team just absolute cowards? Sisyphus could outrun an AT-8. Still, nice shots. Reminds me of playing my Matilda. OP as heck once they patched artillery and you weren't guaranteed 3 SPG's in every game all honing in on your 24km/h unmissable posterior.

Pretty much, yeah. There was a T29 playing TD behind me, for example.

At that point I knew I had an enemy Ferdinand and a T29 coming at me, so I figured it was best to try to spot them and hope our artillery would take care of them. It almost worked.

heh. There were two SPGs on each side in this game and one enemy was a French autoloader, so I was amazed I survived for as long as I did.

But you're right; I don't get shelled to death nearly so often in my Matilda anymore, actually. I could probably even replace my spall liner with something else now.

Honestly, it's been so long since I played the vanilla game, I can't really tell what's changed.

Henke: Cheers bud :) Likewise on the SR4 screens. Really need to play that at some point!

Hah, cheers. Playing it just makes me sad about the direction they've taken with the series.

Those Skyrim shots look great. Love the lighting.
