Well... for those who would want to know how does SMAA looks on Specops, here's two screenshots showing it (welll... I THINK it's enabled, looks like it, resized from 1080)

I'm not a fan of FXAA, the times I've tried it everything just seemed blurry, especially BF3. But it may just be the games I've tried poorly implement it.

Mass Effect has always been one of my favourite games aesthetically:

Thanks man, I tried it but to be perfectly honest, I couldn't really tell if it was on :-) That's a good tool though for other games.

So apparently Adam Jensen has been looking for new employment options and has taken up a position as NPC within PSO2.

I've no idea what he's saying, but my money is on "I didn't ask for this".

In case you didn't pick this up: It's implied that he won all his previous fights the way he was supposed to win against Geralt - through the power of match-fixing, bestowed upon him by no other than Flotsam's honourable commandant Loredo.

And that shot of Iorveth entering the arachas' cave is poster-material.

It could also be a reference to the first game where the final fight of the punch-up sidequest was against a wizened old man in a cave. The character model looks quite similar to the guy there.

Hah, thanks guys! I didn't even know that. Now you say it I remember that from The Witcher 1!
What do you guys think is the best game story wise? I preferred one to be honest.

The story in The Witcher 1 is deeper than in Assassins of Kings but it doesn't feel as fleshed out and isn't particularly well executed - often you get lost in sidequests or the game feels disjoint. Also the characters don't feel as fleshed out as they are in AoK.

In other words I liked Assassins of Kings more, but some of that does come from it having far superior graphics, cutscenes, set-pieces and spectacle than the original did. I'd love to see TW1 remade in the form of TW2, but it's still a great game in its own right.

Witcher 1 is a better game in almost everything except graphics. That of course doesn't mean that Witcher 2 isn't great. Some of the gameplay changes are just stupid though.

I couldn't disagree with this more.

Yes graphics are a giant leap, but so is everything else across the board. The combat, the writing, the world design, the quest design, the art design, the character and monster design; everything is vastly superior. The quality of storytelling is almost incomprehensibly better in the sequel. One thing I absolutely hated about the 1st game is that it delayed everything as much as it could, like every quest had 10 steps and 6 of those steps where just pure filler. In the sequel even the notice board quests don't feel like that. To eradicate Nekkers you need to blow up their nests, not just bring person X 10 brains. You actually feel like you're doing Witcher's work. And that example is probably the lamest quest in the whole damn game.

Don't get me wrong I really like The Witcher, but Assassins is in a completely different league.

    Anyway, screenshots!
