To clarify, you are in the cockpit of a ship all the time (though that will change in Rebirth). Though much of the later game plays more like a strategy game, the interface for managing large numbers of ships is possibly the worst you can imagine.

Still, it's far less combat-focused than something like Freelancer or Evochron. You can quite happily avoid fighting entirely.

I'm pretty sure there are a good deal of mods which add much better command interfaces though.

Is there a way to change the color of the HUD? It was possible in the first, and I'm surprised to see it wasn't an option in this one, unless I just didn't look hard enough.

I didn't like the handling in the demo, but I picked up FUEL to play the FUEL: REFUELED mod. It also supports the demo now, and there's a new "lite" version. Glad I took another look, as I may get around to playing it sometime.

I'm not too familiar with the whole Batman scene, but from playing Arkham City a bit, I can see why some of these characters are so iconic. Pretty good fun.

Interesting, thanks. I hadn't thought to look for mods, seeing how anti-modding Codemasters is these days, but that's definitely worth a look.

Great screenshot! It's quite impressive how pretty much every screenshot from Skyrim just oozes atmosphere.

This tutorial is pretty interesting, but the feedback could be better. 'Not even close' isn't very helpful advice!



Halfway through the first mission, I finally hit something!



This game doesn't sugar-coat the lethality of WW2 combat; I think we lost upwards of 50 people in this short assault.

@Skalpadda: Great shots! I think Krosis is indeed a funny guy. I pushed him off a cliff once with the alt-attack of a bow, which made me chuckle a bit.

Thanks. I don't use ENB at all, just the official high res texture pack and Imaginator to bump up contrast and saturation a little, along with some ini tweaks, so it's practically vanilla.
