Half of those shots are in some spiritual realm (also the strider is frozen, as well as its projectile, which is pretty cool looking) and I think the other shots are more like dawn. That level doesn't look so psuedo-night in my game, more like foggy day. I don't think there's a day/night cycle, is there?

Yeah half of them are during a 'dream' you have in the beginning. For the others, I m not sure if it's supposed to be night or dawn to be honest. There is a moon but I don't know what time it's supposed to be. It is fairly lit but since light/dark does not play a role, I don't see a problem with it. You also get to enjoy the amazing art direction more instead of playing in darkness. You should try the game anyway.Originally Posted by Battle Programmer Spike

The gamma slider icons are sort of messed up in this game. When it tells you "barely visible" imagine it means "completely invisible" and then adjust slider. It will look much better.
Yeap that's what I was thinking, will check it when I get back. Or should I start XCOM. hmmm...

Man this game looks nice.
Thanks. It's a lot faster, and more intense in my opinion. You can't hold your swing back like in M&B so it becomes more about timing once you get into combat with a guy. The scale is smaller for sure, but it doesn't feel empty. I think the maps are designed pretty well, so even though it's 16 vs 16 it feels like part of a bigger conflict. Lots more visceral too, which I really love. Chopping someone's arm/head off is so satisfying, haha. One on one melee combat is really fun, I hope there's a 1v1 mode in the full game.
