I had a fantastic starting position as the defender and better army composition.
However, things went all to fuck against the Brutii
I'd have taken shots during but things were too hectic.
Three armies attacking my one which was positioned on the bridge. One of their armies, the smallest one, was on my side of the river but were easily beaten by few units. But then I fucked up massively. I completely failed to notice there was a second crossing in addition to the bridge, and only realised when I saw enemy troops moving towards it. Even after getting troops in position I had retroactively fucked myself, as I failed to check the enemy army before going in. They had archers equal to mine, ballista, and onagers. Those onagers tore me to pieces.
The fights was a lot closer than the battle results make out, it really was a case of 'who gave out on which crossing first' and luckily for me they did; allowing me to take out their artillery and archers before attacking their flanks.
And those 3 remaining gladiators have earned a Consuls pension. There were only 14 in the unit to begin with and they were right in the middle of the ford crossing the entire time. They lost 11 men, never routed, and killed over 200.
No no no, you must absolutely not spoil it for those not having experienced its awesomeness first hand.
I'm amazed that no one has figured out a way of hiding it yet :-(
It runs surprisingly well actually. I've heard a lot of people are having issues with performace but, for the most part, it rarely drops below 50fps. I'm using HBAO instead of HDAO - Not sure if that makes much of a difference.

The filtering of replays and mucking with LODs that F1 2012 does on non-player cars is just horrible, but the game itself is actually quite fun to play. Some screenshots, unfortunately affected by said problems:

The Memoir Gods hated me in this game. Five of my six cards were for units on the right flank, all of which were destroyed or retreated to the center. The sixth card was for defending against an infantry assault, which wasn't going to happen with the wide-open snowy fields between our lines of infantry. Needless to say I lost.

I've found it spreads really well on some grass types (light, not dark green), and all the way across piers. I've burned myself into a corner a couple of times.
The first in FC2 used to just burn a small circle, then die out.

But still,we're winning because of me. I dribble and dribble infront of goal then they faul me and my guys score from free kick from very close distance.. Hope they'll let me shoot free kicks if they were commited on me.
