    Maybe that's the simulation machine.

All the hud stuff is explicitly due to the Animus. They explain away the language stuff with that too. (Very silly when you play AC2 with Italian localization...)

    I concur :-)
Yes, I love taking screenshots, I may not post them but I keep them to myself and they're good to keep :)

Yet they undo this by having Connor speak Native American in AC3. Crezeh.

I like AC3, but on the whole it's one of the worst written games in memory, and it's not cause of the sci-fi stuff (which I never minded.)

I just downloaded an amazing map for Shogun 2 that I can't stop toying around with (I also discovered how to hide the HUD). You may recognise its influence:

It was in on the Steam workshop. Just called "Helms Deep v1.2". I've been trying everything on it:

Looks pretty incredible. Must be pretty easy though seeing as it was only ever threatened in the movie due to defender stupidity. I still can't watch that battle without shouting at the TV.

OT: I want you to imagine the worst voice acting you can, intermingled with subtitles that switch from English to German at random. Done? Good. Now fit that to these screens.

Man I should play W:EE again. Is there any community left? Played it quite a bit before release and then some right after, but then moved on. Game was well worth playing though.

I forgot how beautiful that game was. I just wish I liked it more. Maybe I'll have a go on easy mode someday, to revisit it without the frustration. Or just shoot everyone, since I know a lot of my trouble came from trying not to be a murderer (which made it especially annoying when people were glibly executed during cutscenes).

Is that first pic in the second bunch from a particularly bastardly part of the game? Because it seems to be causing my blood temperature to raise just slightly. I think I died there a lot.

Yeap its as frustrating as it is amazing...

I don't remember. I played and finished the 'special' edition when it came out. I just recently bought it in a sale and was fooling around with it, not really playing...
