This game deserves much more attention than it has. Some of the most fun i've had online in a long ass time.

What's the slide physics modelling like? Does your character make a realistic "Weeeeeeeeee" noise?

Sadly there weren't any slide physics. But in my head I went "Weeeeeeee!".

Unacceptable in this day and age. Even Half-Life 2 had a roundabout and see-saw, and that was ages ago.
These devs need to stop mucking about making photo realistic representations of Greek military bases and get cracking on some properly modelled bum-sliding.

That's because Valve where so proud of their physics engine that they made sure you where aware of it every five minutes.

But I agree, enough of this photo realistic crap and more solider's mucking about in playgrounds.

The TrackMania 'zones' all have very different physics. In this case, TM2 Canyon is quite heavy on sliding and drifting about. TM2 Stadium, a remake of the free and thus (still!) very popular TrackMania Forever, is currently in open beta and features the same precise, high grip physics as the original. The gameplay it self is great: the elaborate track editor makes it possible to cater to everybody's taste: from tracks that could exist in the real world to highly complex 'puzzle-tracks' and high speed tracks that don't allow you to put a foot wrong to keep the necessary speed to complete the jumps, etc.

One of the often mocked, and for good reason, Attack of the Saints missions in Hitman: Absolution. I don't think people even objected to their costumes so much (there's far more and more edgy fetish fuel in earlier Hitman games), but context matters, and in this case there was none.

    Target spotted...

After throwing a bottle to make some noise, Mrs. Assassin walks off to investigate, turning her back to 47. Big mistake!

That was always going to happen, wasn't it?

No, not that kind of drag.... I smell a DLC-opportunity!

Don't think trackmania is for me then, my eyes got funny just be watching that video for a couple of minutes. I'm generally also terrible at sliding in racing games. :P
