Are those real adventure games, or hidden object games? Perhaps I'm mistaking them for something else.

They're definitely not hidden-object games (unless maybe there's a minigame of that in one of the 28 games in the series =). They're kind of like your old-school first-person adventures where you'd find weird machines to try and solve (Myst, Riven, stuff like that) except not quite so lonesome and disorienting, because there tend to be a few NPCs involved in the mystery that you can talk to either in person or on your phone. Aside from the real thinking-puzzles there are sometimes goofy minigames like clicking on a swarm of bees real fast with a smoker, or playing skeeball -- random one-off things, but I haven't seen any Hidden Object yet (unless you count good old-fashioned pixel hunting as hidden objects =P).

Edit: I just noticed there's a sort of smaller sub-series called "Nancy Drew Dossier"...maybe those ones are more hidden-objecty but I'm not sure (maybe you're thinking of Samantha Swift, too...though I'm not 100% sure those are hidden-object games either ^_^ I'm sadly not up-to-date on all the cool hidden object games the kids are playing these days, though I do have a hidden object book from my childhood that has like shrubberies which look like lions and stuff, if you squint).

Support for my all-pepperjack-cheese food bank charity drive has been lukewarm at best.

    From Dust

Sadly plagued by Uplay and consolitis. I hope they do something more with this as the concept and basic mechanics are great.

@Asskicker: Great shots squire. It's hard to get good action shots in FC3 thanks to the damn motion blur :)

Thanks! You're right, but I did manage to take some.

I'm disappointed by the fire in Far Cry 3, it spread so much more in Far Cry 2. Now you set something on fire and it dies out after a couple of seconds. :(

Not entirely sure what happened to the background there...
