Great screen-shots all around, folks. The variety is nice to see!

I finally got around to starting Tomb Raider. What an - at times - beautiful game! I know we mocked Lara's new hair, and the fuzz made about it, but while it has some peculiar problems of its own it's no doubt miles ahead of previous methods of creating hair. Lara sure gets kicked around a bit in the first hour or so, but after that it becomes quite a nice shooter. Three hours in, I have not seen any serious platforming or puzzles yet. Whether that's good or bad I don't yet know.

Seph, have you applied any mods to Resident Evil 4? Because it looks far better than I thought that it would.

The re-release had upgraded textures, and is based on the original GC version. They sharpened up the textures quite a bit even from the GC version.

The previous PC version was based on the lesser visually impressive PS2 version.

Also notable: the new PC version is the only one that runs 60 fps. It is the definitive version. I believe it adds in all the extras previously exclusive to the PS2 game.

That explains it; I was under the impression that Capcom had upped the resolution a bit but beyond that hadn't done anything. Still, surprised that it holds up that well after all this time.

The lighting and art was also always pretty exceptional. Even though its still all static lighting, the art is just really excellent.

My friends and I played the PS2 version in 2005… so just imagine how amazing it looked then for us! It was truly a shock to see such a good looking game on Ps2, a whole group of us actually watched me play it (poorly) for a whole night. Not sure why it was me, I think everyone was getting a kick out of me getting freaked out and making stupid moves with accidental but exceptionally dramatic recoveries XD

Good memories of that, almost 10 years ago now... High school times.

What Rockman said :) This must be the 5th or 6th time I've played through the game and I'm still enjoying every minute of it. The only thing that pisses me off is that the HUD doesn't scale so, even in 4K res, it's absolutely massive.

Some iRacing. Nice little race in the Skip Barber at Laguna Seca.

This moment was more than a little terrifying.

Some more Tomb Raider. The gameplay is starting to outstay its welcome a bit, and half the time the 'cinematic' moments make me wonder if it even matters what I do. But I digress...

    Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall

"As it was with climate change, so it is with dragons."

I absolutely love the style of this game, and prefer to play zoomed in as far as I can. Unfortunately, every time there a conversation the game zooms out and doesn't return to your previous setting when the convo ends.

I took the exact same screenshot! There used to be a way to zoom in even further (you could disable the zoom limits by bringing up the debug console with Ctrl-Alt-` and hitting Ctrl-X), but it appears to have been disabled in the latest patch.

What archetype is your dwarf? I'm playing a female human sniper/shotgunner/rigger. Sniping's pretty ace.

The worldbuilding, music and art in Dragonfall are phenomenal. So good that I can't even bring myself to smirk at the climate change/dragons line above. There are many more conversation options that involve roleplaying too. This game is a blast.
