Final bunch from the main storyline in Dishonored. This half futuristic, half early 20th century architecture creates a great atmosphere.

I ended up with a 'High Chaos' rating towards the end, which suggests I went a bit more crazy than intended. Part of that is due to the first couple of missions, where I wasn't quite up to speed with the mechanics and some of the powers at your disposal. Later on I was much more careful, and also got the stealthy Specter and Faceless achievements ('complete a mission without alerting anyone, and kill less than 5 people'). So, a mixed bag really. I'm now trying to do the DLC without disturbing too many people, but the original game seems to give you more options for doing so, which makes it a bit more difficult.

    Some more action, then:

I got a rainy day when I played it. I hadn't actually tried for a high chaos run, but I did end up throwing a lot of guards into the water after knocking them out during the bridge level, so I imagine that upped my kill count quite a bit.

Also, some nice screens there DaftPunk. That's Crysis, right? Still looks fantastic judging by those shots.

A question to all the contributors in this thread:
Do you turn off motion blur (if it is possible) to get better screenshots? I find that some of my shots can be quite blurry if I leave it on. Or do you leave it on to more accurately depict the game?

If possible I always turn off motion blur. Not to get better screenshots, but because it's yet another canned effect that doesn't work anywhere close to how vision is blurred in the real world. It's especially egregious in racing games, which somehow seem to assume that a driver is always looking straight ahead. Such silly implementations are, in that regard, somewhat similar to the brightness-darkness transitions in certain engines that seem to think human eyes are like a camera from the 1920s.

An interesting observation; thanks! Changing the world in such a way is far more interesting than the bogus morality-meters that are somehow supposed to make you feel bad, yet hardly ever affect the actual gameplay.

In this case it's a very strange change. Stormy weather sets a mood of desperation, and maybe that's what they were going for. But it's not a natural consequence of your actions in the game.

Still with the Far Cry 2. I really have to wrap this up ASAP, as soon as I get some more free time.
