To enter the discussion about SMGs, I'm a fan of the Hornet. At level X, it's only a 3% hit on recharge with the light materials...
Unless there was a patch in the last few days (didn't really have a chance to play recently), Ultra Light Materials is bugged for all SMGs except the Geth Plasma SMG and doesn't actually reduce the weight of the weapons. While it shows up in the weapon loadout screen's perecentage display, the actual cooldowns of powers don't change in the game. It works fine in single player however.

Nice video. Grumpyface Manshoot? I like it.
Although seemed a bit choppy at times when I watched it.

Bravo Bootcha. I particularly liked the 'aggh' when you got the ass shots in. Also the moving shot on the drifting Phantom at 16.30 ish was quality. The Atlas herding during stage 7 or so was pretty funny. I also forgot just how god awful stage 10 was when we had to hack that terminal and there was hardly any cover. Thank god for fast team mates and plenty of medi-gel.

As a post-mortem I do think on the extraction it probably makes sense to hold the interior and then dash for it in the last few seconds rather than be in the zone the whole time. Way too exposed for to attacks from the left side.

Played ok for me. You might need to let it fully load. I found when I watched the earlier one as it was a bit choppy, but fine after it had loaded Spec.

I did try to talk like a german earlier this morning. But I've only lived in Texas for a few months, give me a few years and I'll have my accent as thick as molasses.

And admittedly, these videos are here to show off my wide range of musical tastes and superior sense of humor. ;)

Just wait till we do Firebase Ghost, I've got a blues catalog that'll make you squeal.

Bad news: I have 16,000 words to write within the next 2 weeks :(

As it goes, the more and more we play on Gold, with the better gear we've all been getting, the less I've felt the need to use some of the items. So, I'm not overly concerned about stock, although I'm sure I'll have time to fit in a few games!

Excellent, I shall stock up. Though OP packs seem to be the thing I go through the most rather than med kits these days.

Well the games not going anywhere so concentrate on your studies dude (also less time here for starters). 16K sounds like a lot over 14 days, however a good way of tackling something like that is to break it down into word count per hour. So let's say you have 10 days to write it (giving you 4 to revise/recheck and get everything bound). And say you write for 12 hours a day (meaning you can pack some sleep in as well).

    16000
    (10 x 12) = 134 words an hour (a little over 2 words a minute)

Still a fair amount, but it will feel a lot more manageable. I'd say aim for 150 words an hour though, you'll give yourself more breathing space that way.

Yes! Though the Revenant is pretty much useless with any other race/class. ;p

Have any of you encountered the rather amusing bug that causes the crosshairs to move down instead of up because you have too much stability (only possible with Turian + Marksman + Stability mod I think)?

Not to sure about the need for that comment tbh. I've been there before and I've gotten over the enormity of the challenge by breaking the big numbers down into digestible chunks. JGs a good guy and I'm offering him advice based on my experiences that might help him in overcoming it and not giving into panic because I give a shit. Whether he cares to use it or not is his choice.

As regards meds. I never use them on Bronze unless most of the team are down (and it's safe) and I only use them on Silvers if it seems I'm not going to be rescued in time and I'm not in danger. There's really no point in blowing 3 med kits on a bronze for example.

Really enjoying my Turian Sentinal, I seem to generally finish 1st or 2nd with him, which is nice as with almost every class I seemed to always finish last by a good margin. Godly against Geth too (especially paired up with Salarian Engineer as Overload bursts Energy drain and vice versa).

His post didnt make me think of him as in dispair. So I found your reply a bit too much, personally. But maybe he did need it, I don't know. :D
