Be aware that quicksaves are borked with Co8, so don't use them.

All of the D&D games in the Atari collection were added to the steam registry. So maybe they will all show up there soon.

I'd put money on it being a HD upgrade.

Either way, I've just discovered there is a quicksave key for Baldur's Gate, so i might not have to give up on it after all. Depends how quick it actually is....

I'm pretty happy with how Baldur's Gate ended, so I'd rather the series was left alone. If someone wants to make a new RPG in the Forgotten Realms that is of equal quality to BG, then super, but I'd rather the series be left unsullied by attempts to cash in on it.

Atari/Infrogames and Interplay have both said that they've been making Baldur's Gate 3 several times in the past - is this related to those projects? I honestly don't know if either of those companies are still producing anything, but I remember prior fan outrage when word came out about them.

I'm personally hoping for Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 3 with PC support.

    You're telling me you'd prefer a Dark Alliance 3 over BG3? Boooo!

Nice retrospective published yesterday of BG1+2 over at Eurogamer

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...s-gate-1-and-2

I belive the author Paul Dean is the other half of the Board Games site Shut Up and Sit Down, along with ex-RPS writer Quintin

    Mr. Paul Dean Millerton Mastertontonton,
    and Mr. Quintintin Smythe!

Having just secured BG1+2 and never played them before, I don't want to read the retrospective yet; but because it is Paul Dean I will file it away for a future year when I have beaten these games!
Wot I Think: The Game : an ongoing collaborative game-design experiment / comedic disaster here on the RPS Forums!
Kata vs. Kata : a game of simultaneous round-based predictive martial arts (like frozen synapse, but with punches)
Crossroads: The Haze : a game about princes eating soup in a turn-based wolf prison [*oversimplification detected*]

All website countdowns I've ever seen have led to disappointment.

At least there's less than a day to wait, rather than two weeks before disappointment.

If it's something as bland as a HD remake of original, I'm rather disappointed. The original BG games haven't really aged that badly, they are still very enjoyable.

Of course it's going to be something like a HD remake, if it was a proper new game there'd be far more hype and excitement throw to the public about it.
Give me steam and how you feel to make it real.
