And Groupees strikes back. Be Mine 11 is done, and two new bundles take its place:
    • Build a Greenlight Bundle 5 (4 games min, $1 min)
      • Paper Dungeons
      • Savage: the Shard of Gosen
      • Monster Challenge Circus
      • Drive to Hell
      • Trace Vector
      • Heroes of a Broken Land
      • Spice Road
      • Magicians & Looters

I'll mention Spice Road: some of us are always looking for city builders. Trace Vector en Paper Dungeons seem promising as well. As does Heroes of a Broken Land, once you get past that title.

    • Indie Comic Groupee ($1 min, 8 comics/collections/GNs as pdf)

Not going to list them all. A lot of these are really indie. I've heard of Alterna Comics and Markosia Publishing at least. The others, not so much.

Just a quick note for people trying to redeem 99 Levels to Hell

It looks like things changed slightly from what the dev originally said. Your key on your Desura page (at that point) isn't what you enter. Go back and you'll see an actual steam key to enter.
    Steam: Gundato
    PSN: Gundato
If you want me on either service, I suggest PMing me here first to let me know who you are.

Where do you actually find your keys on Desura's site? I've only been able to find my 99 Levels to Hell Desura key on the IndieGameStand site where I got it. As someone who has a bunch of games on Desura from the Indie Royale bundles but otherwise never really uses the site, I can't seem to find a page on Desura that lists keys.

    Thanks!

If you go to Gifts, in the bottom menu, there is a link to it on that page, but yeah its very hidden.

Heroes of the Broken Land looks really odd, combining old-style dungeon crawling with a hex-grid overworld and seemingly the ability to have many parties maybe like units in a strategy game, plus some basic city building/party management elements.

However, the one that has impressed me the most is Savage Shard of Gosen, it has the best video IMO despite being the one with the alpha label stamped on it.

Magicians & Looters doesn't look half bad either; Paper Dungeons, Trace Vector and Spice Road aren't really eye catching (although the network building in Spice Road does look interesting) but look like they're worth a try.

Oh, and the first bonus game is Battlepaths.

IndieRoyale Debut 10 has unlocked Pathogen Wars.

I wonder what IndieGala is up to, with one more unlock promised for the Interstellar bundle, a 2 day extension done already, there's less than 7 hours left and still no trace of the game.

Interesting concept, someone should let Cara know. Funny coincidence though, I first heard of a few of the "talents" a few days ago. I mean, not that I was out browsing for alt-porn, I was just reading up on feminist pornography on Wikipedia. I went there to read about Rambo and just sort of clicked ahead, as one does.

So now we know. Another 7 days of extension. And the final game appears to be Dynamite Jack?

They've added Cubetractor to the Capsule Computers bundle, too.

Notice: now all links to metacritic appear shortened as "MC" on account of hitting the 20k character limit on both posts.

Now available on Steam: EvilQuest (IR Halloween, IR IndieGamerChick, IG Wkly2 BTA)

Magicians & Looters pushed all the right buttons for me, in a way that filled me with hope that it'll be at least half as good as UnEpic - so far one of, if not THE, best games I only got to play because I found it in a bundle.

It was a quiet saturday, we were doing fine, then out of the blue Wanderlust: Rebirth 75% off on DailyRoyale.

They also added more keys to the Doorways deal.

The next unlock for Build a Greenlight Bundle #5 is the recently-mentioned-on-RPS 3D tower defense Rush for Glory.

For the most part it's been a quiet weekend, but don't get used to the feeling - IGS is launching a new PWYW deal in a few hours and this next week we should be getting several unlocks, including HIB11's second week games.

BTW, if anyone's interested in getting Zombies. on Steam, there's another one of those unpleasant things going on with the dev initially refusing to give keys then changing their minds.

Those who bought it on IGS seemingly won't get a Steam key, while everyone else will. The dev tweeted "I promised keys to NO ONE - the bundles did. My contracts state absolutely nothing about keys, nor would I have signed them if they did."

I must say the general turd hurling that takes place each time makes me really sad.

It took me awhile to figure out which game you were talking about - that's a horrible game name in respect to SEO.

I wrote a big rambly post about this earlier (very rambly and devcentric) but the tl;dr of it all is that this is going to keep on happening. It'll keep happening because no-one ever really signed contracts or agreed to provide Steam keys at a later date in the main, it was just pretty much contractually agreed that outside of Greenlight bundles, the bundlers would just be selling the game as supplied.

Bundlers also promised that they'd do their best to lay their hands on Steam keys from developers when they were asked because, well, why wouldn't they? They want you to keep shopping with them and everyone knows that in Bundleland, Steam Keys are currency. So they pushed for it. In a lot of cases they got it but it was never part of the deal.

But of course, it doesn't matter whether it's part of the deal when Humble offer an all you can eat menu on formats, Steam keys are increasingly just seen by people as either things that make a number go up or a storage place for games they might play or just somewhere that makes downloading and playing the games easier. So you look kinda weird now if you say "nopers, that wasn't the plan" because well, why isn't it the plan if everyone else is doing it? It looks even more strange when you're saying to a customer "hey, I know you like my game and you think that Steam is the easiest and most comfortable way to access it but nope" when you say "no" to giving them Steam keys. Even more weird that everyone knows you just ask Valve nicely or press a button and you get a pissload of keys.

And the big disconnect comes there, with customers seeing Steam as a place you store games and some devs seeing the Steam keys as the product they're selling.

Digital life is weird and everything moves so fast. No surprise that some devs aren't quite able to keep up to speed with what's going down all the time.

I just wish people would learn to handle it all in a less dickish manner on all sides.
My actions are in no way born out of some sort of Darwinist offensive

Celtic Steampunk sounds good on paper. Any opinion?

I guess a link would have been useful there. Noted.

Exactly, I find especially distasteful the angry mob with torches swarming around devs when word gets around, from the looks of it, you would think that their livelihood depends on it.

I guess it's the same people who then will find all kind of elaborate explanations when firms screw them over many times. Not only you get intense declarations of love, but they also go along posting on forums rationalizing how it's all for our sake. I know, I know, Stockholm syndrome and all that.
