Very odd game, I don't think there's anything else like that out there.

Usually these are the games I like the most. Jet Force Gemini was probably the first game I could call an all-time favorite. However, they're also usually the games that don't last very long, shamefully.

Fleshed out the BaB2 entry and moved to top post since it's technically available even if just for preorder. I haven't figured out if there are additional perks for preordering though.

BaB2 bonus #2 revealed: saturday, you can build a bundle of just 1 game. PWYW/Minimum stays at 1$. Not much of a bonus IMO, but may be appreciated by those looking to keep their steam library clutter to a minimum.

Will there ever be an end to all the bundles? The incessant pile on theme of the game industry depresses me. MMOs, FPS games, bundles, free to play, as soon as a new idea is even a little bit of a success 10 other copy cats jump in and make it less of a fun novelty. Bundling has become just another gate keeper of who becomes successful.

More like a showcase for developers who are still largely unknown. And ironically, that's more the prerogative of 'copycats', because HIB has been regularly featuring some of the most successful, well known and even iconic games of the last few years (and it's useful nonetheless, because even all those titles put together don't get nearly as much coverage as the hype-fueled fart of a major publisher armed with a serious marketing budget)

They're not really truly copycats for the most part, each one of them trying to put some kind of an unique spin on their offering. Bundles serve many different useful purposes, I wish them a long life (so that I can ferry this thread over to 2013, and I will be able to say: even a broken thread can be correct one month a year :P)

And you can get it for only $0.50 from the Gamedev bundle, as compared to a minimum of $3 or so from the BaB2 bundle. Oh, but it's pretty cool. Simple fun.

50 cents isn't likely even going to cover their payment processor fee, I'd strongly recommend paying at least a dollar to anyone who has the vaguest interest in even just one of the games. BTW I have no clue about Pitman, but some of the other games in the GameDev bundle look pretty intriguing.
