Not videogames but videogame books. http://storybundle.com/

I've only read the 250 Games You Must Play so I can't vouch for the rest but I'm in for them all the same, I think.

Interesting idea - slightly moody content but I'm in for the Ralph Baer one, it's the only "early history of games" book I've not read I think!

    Thanks for the heads-up

On X-Blades: Once you get by the T&A in that (which hopefully is quite quick) the game is bad in a mediocre and boring way as opposed to a so-bad-its-AWESOME! bad. Combat is largely a skill-less constant attacking move with no movement penalty against enemies that don't react to being hit, building up a rage bar which, when full, permits you to use a "KILL EVERYTHING!" move.
You do this over and over on wave after wave of apparently never ending enemies until the game raises the magic curtain and permits you to continue into the next room to do the same thing over and over again.
I really dont advise it, even if curious. Just go look for some Hentai or something, or play Dead or Alive.
Here, have a screenshot. Its possibly better then playing it.

I think you mean to say that Serious Sam is also available as a Desura key, in addition to being available for Android.

You can play it for free in your browser (warning: page has sound).

Nice! :D Defenitely interested in the Kill Screen issues and Jordan Mechner books. "Generation XBOX" and "250 Indie Games" looks interesting too.

I don't see any mention of it but these are readable on iPad, right?

    edit: nvm, yeah it works.

I paid below the average (not interested in Brutal Legend and $35 is too much for my meagre budget right now) and didn't get the Psychonauts soundtrack. It makes it look as if I should've gotten two out of the three on the front page, seeing as how there's only a padlock under the Brutal Legend soundtrack. I guess I'll check it again some other time, it hasn't been up for long.

Edit: Never mind, found the 'music' tab. Pretty sure that's new, I never had to click that to get to the music before.

Duh, I know mine's gonna be a (very small) minority opinion, but in my book the current average is laughable compared to other Humbles.

It's great to see all this love for Double Fine, I'm sure it's deserved, but by this time I assume most have at least 2 games in the PWYW tier and Brutal Legend, no matter how I look at it, is a 4 year old game and it wasn't that great to start with (confirmed by a lot of opinions I've been reading about it on these boards), the only new thing being the ports. Yeah making them costs money, but still.

I'd chuck a dollar at them just so that I can add Costume Quest to my library, but what with all the great display of fondness, my spare buck would probably feel ashamed, so maybe I'll keep it.

I don't really give bundle special treatment when it comes to my money, but $8 for brutal seems alright.

Personal considerations aside, the average Humble Indie packs much more value, and that's without mentioning the THQ Bundle or the Darksiders Weekly.

Completely agree, but eh... I'm a Sacrifice obsessive and that price is enough to lure me into buying its pale descendant.
