Another project cars member here. I made a trailer of one of the most recent builds if you guys are interested. It's my first ever attempt at using sony vegas and making a video of any kind though. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! This is all unedited gameplay from me playing the game. Everything still is a work in progress though, especially the time of day lighting transitions.

Yea it's definitely still a work in progress. Some of the tracks in the video were from old projects of theirs and have not been brought to 2012 standards. Many of the sounds are still placeholders as well and will be redone.

How sim-my is this? I don't like sims, I don't have a wheel or anything, I just play with the keyboard mostly arcadey racing titles like Dirt. Would I still enjoy this? The shots I see look better and better but I don't have the patience for a sim.

How much of a simulation this game is will depend on your expectations. The self proclaimed sim-racing community, ever innovative, has dozens of different words for different degrees of simness. I'd say it's not Live for Speed or iRacing, but it's more serious than the stuff Codemaster releases - though keep in mind that this is a prerelease version. It does offer numerous ways of reducing difficulty, adjusting AI etc. so I think most people interested in somewhat serious racing games should be ble to find a way to make the game feel drivable and challenging in relation to their skill level.

Hi there,

Alot has happened, since 3 months ago, in Project CARS that i think you guys might like to know so im gonna mention just the important ones since the list is quite huge:

• There has been new licences acquired for BMW, FORD and Ginneta's!
• A weather system has been introduced ingame with some amazing effects that will leave you with the your jaw dropped!
• The FFB and physics have been improved greatly.
• Nordschleife has been added to the game and is near completion.
• Most of the already existant tracks have been updated and are looking better than ever.
• 2012 BMW Z4 GT3 & 1981 BMW M1 been added ingame and are available to race with.
• The work on the 1980 Ford Capri Zakspeed & 1991 BMW M3 E30 Group A has started and they are going at a fast rate!

Great news everyone, the first Multiplayer testing of Project CARS occured today and it went smooth! The developers invited some members to try with them and discussed the progress with them live through a chat meeting. There were 13 players from US, Asia and Europe all playing together on the same server and there was no visible warping or other major issue like it was expected !
MP Test 2 will be on tomorrow @ 5pm GMT - Check the MP Videos @ the main forums and the newest trailer @ Gametrailers

I doubt it. You need analog controls like a gamepad/wheel when physics are based on realism. With only full throttle, full turn it is almost impossible to control a car, especially high powered automobiles.

(I'm guessing he just reposted because no one really answered his question.)

Well they arent as bad as you might think, but it takes alot of practice and it aint that much of a fun compared with a gamepad.
If he had at least a Playstation 3 he could use the Dualshock3 to play.

I know a game you can play with your mouse. There's a clue below. Speaking of which, I wonder if this game will support the mouse as a steering input. That would be HUGE!

Currently the only thing available is making custom liveries, more will come later on near the release.
