Gotham City Imposters steam sale - worth it?
I played the beta of this and hated it. Now a few months later, I just watched the TotalBiscuit WTF 2, and it looks like lots of problems are now fixed, and it looks quite fun, if perhaps a bit grindy.
However, it still seems to have a lot in common with Brink, which I only played for 3 hours in total.
Have people been playing this? Is it worth picking up in the sale?

I bought it a while back and still play it now and then.
The matchmaking issues which really hampered the game on release are now fixed.
It doesn't seem too grindy, I've been levelling up quickly.
Plus with no level-requirements on the weapons you can just pick and choose what you're interested in.
So if you're looking for a fairly casual/arcadey shooter with Call of Duty-esque customisation I'd pick it up.

I've not had any issues with the matchmaking after the patch.
But yes, this does have GFWL.

I stumped up for it last night. Had a decent couple of hours with it.
The non-team-deathmatch modes are sparsely populated. But they're pretty poorly designed in terms of visual feedback on what needs to be done (too much info and vital infor not clear). Team deathmatch works well for this game. Simple, fast, shooty."KING GEORGE IS A FROG

Be warned. Until it went on sale, the game didn't even show up on Steam's top 100 list. That means it usually has fewer than 400 concurrent players worldwide. I always keep an eye on games like this and its current population boost is from the sale and will only last a few days. The game will be dead again next week.
I'm writing this as a person who owns a dozen failed multiplayer shooters.
