Personally I despise it, when people pre date April's fools messages so they look a week old and never point out they are pretending to afterwards? Sometimes a stupid lie is a stupid lie.

No, absolutely. I just laughed out loud at the April first skit for Rock of Ages (Block of Ages today) let's just say cubes are not ideal battering boulders, but so much of it is pretty pathetic. I can tolerate the actually funny stuff.

I liked the Google Maps thing a lot more when I stumbled into it this morning and thought it was an actual fun mode they'd added on a whim rather than a mandatory april foolio. Well I suppose it's still quite fun.
I guess there's nothing today because it's Sunday.
I'm in the angry old man category, so the less there is of this, the better.
Plus it's an excuse for your jokes to be completely terrible. It's an offense to comedy, it is.

April first as an excuse for jokes: great! They still need to be good jokes, though.
April first as an excuse for lying or being mean: rubbish.
RPS' was more an excuse for silliness than the LOLZ WE FOOLZ'D YOU bullshit, wasn't it?

Yeah, John has a good old complain every April Fools' day. I dislike the "lol im pragnent NO IM NOT APRIL FOOLS!" type of 'joke', but well-planned and well-executed ones are fun.

I'm for fooling people, not just jokes. Make jokes whenever you think of funny ones. April the first is for making silly people looking sillier. Spaghetti trees and all that, adverts for San Serif.
