So I jumped 4 vertical feet when I first encountered the tentacle monster. And now I'm stuck on the Time and Tide puzzle, though I've thankfully solved the others.

Which one of them? There's more than one part to that section.

And yes. The spiders didn't scare me at all, but that... thing.... oh my. Very unexpected. It was awesome.

Right after the first bit, with the long corridor and trapdoors. I think I know how to open the iron gate, now that I'm really thinking about it, but I'm missing a detail with the little branching side path.

My basic approach to all short branching pathes was "What are they there for? Hmm. Let's throw something that way."

I think I'm picking up what you're putting down.

Finally made it to level 7 and I'm still feeling it out. I hate slimes; the fire elementals are big pushovers. I'm starting to realize the mistakes I've made in making my party -- human fighter specializing in maces, mage specializing in earth/poison (what was I thinking), rogue who specialized mostly in daggers but now uses a bow 90% of the time. Such an awesome game.
