That mission's just a huge pain. You'll probably have to try a bunch of times. Another thing you can try to do is land your bike on top of the train when you go over that little bridge in the countryside and from there hop off and shoot everyone yourself (or shoot everyone from your bike). I don't think I ever managed to get that method to work, though.
I also love how game don't won't to give you any cars when you need them.especially when you're on mission and you need to hurry up -.-
Uh also i hate when i park car in mission,go inside shoot some bad guys, then i need to follow someone with car and suddenly there's no parked car outside.. :v

Those games always loved to pull dickmoves like that. My personal favourite is when you get a mission which forces you to use a certain type of vehicle when you could easily do it in another, better one. For example: being forced to use a motorbike when chasing someone who's riding one. Let me use a car for crying out loud, I can ram the fucker off the road!
Playing Fallen London since it was reviewed by RPS a weekend or two ago. I like some of the story-lines, but sometimes the gap in skill between actions you can do easily and ones that are still much too tough for you is a bit off-putting. From the point of view of my sanity, I like the fact that so far there's no way to increase your turns-per-time unit limit other than spending Fate, which seems to be rarely dropped in-game and mainly a way of raising a bit of cash for development. Kingdom of Loathing, which I like and which is a bit similar in its mechanics, can take up a lot of time because a smart player can get loads more turns over the 40-something basic daily limit.
Also playing Football Manager, or (probably) flailing about cluelessly in Football Manager. I really think this game has a lot in common with Europa Universalis in how open-ended it is.
"Harry uses the One Ring to defeat Magneto and save the Rebellion!"
With thanks to RaveTurned in comments on the main page.
I'd be playing gotham city impostors if it ran other than awfully on my PC.
Certain games are good for sidestepping that, though they do so at the risk of breaking game balance. Both Saints Row 2 and 3 kept your car there next to the spawned car for the mission, so if your car was superior you could keep driving it. This lead to ridiculously easy missions because of the sheer amount of upgrades you could apply to owned vehicles.
I continue to be impressed by ME3. It's really very good.
Irrelevant on further examination of the rest of the thread.
Playing League of Legends, wondering why.
So, Valkyria Chronicles is pretty fantastic. There aren't many games that rate as highly across the board: soul, style, substance, etc. Minor UI and menu navigation issues would constitute my only criticisms to date.
I suspect that I'll be chewing on this one for a while.
Just finished playing To The Moon and damn it was beautiful. Reminded me of Dreamfall in many ways. Recommended to anyone who wants a good story, and I recommend the soundtrack as well.
Just realised that the other game I'm playing right now couldn't be more different... as it's Bulletstorm.
ME3 is awesome. By far the best of the series. Don't let the absurd and overblown fan tantrum over the endings distract you from what a good game it is. I played through it in a vacuum (I wanted no spoilers) and was riveted the entire time (well, most of the time. Some of the busywork quests and planet hunting could have been scaled back). So when I did check the forums after finishing I was kind of surprised at the reaction.

The Medallion of the Imperial Psychopath, a Napoleon: Total War AAR
For the Emperor!, a Total War: Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai AAR
Apart from Fallout, I have been playing a lot of Natural Selection 2. It is actually a really really good game now, and it is starting to feel like a finished game. At least it is finished "enough" to have many hours of satisfying gameplay out of it. It is also turning into a more tense game, as the marines are royally fucked once the lights go out because the aliens have chewed out the power. You do get the occasional Aliens vibe. It is not feature complete yet though, so some higher tech items have not been implemented yet. There is also balancing issues, but it is still early beta. Still, I do recommend it to anyone with a passing interest in FPS/RTS. I believe you can pre order to get into beta.
Give me steam and how you feel to make it real.
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way
