I don't know whether to mock you or envy you. You still get to experience Portal for the first time, after all.

I've started to play the Lands of Dream games at last - I always meant to, but never got around to it. The Fabulous Screech is one of the sweetest tales I've seen in quite a while, and the art style is very interesting.

Other than that, I still drive trucks around Europe, and Path of Exile is consuming me. Some of the maps are so large, and I'm so OCD about exploring them all, it gets physically exhausting.

The other is that conversations still seemed to be infused with lots of names and I never really feel like I know exactly what I'm doing other than "Go here, go there, you're going there to get that." I seem to be lacking the why, but never mind.

I persist and I'm having fun, so that's the main thing.
You're probably over one of the big humps in the game and things should flow well for a while. New dull moments are on the horizon though as that game loves throwing a new swamp at you in every chapter. And you're right about the conversations, the game still had a good few issues when it comes to either the translation, writing or general continuity. Sometimes things are talked about whihc flatout haven't been mentioned yet, other times you'll feel like the story jumped forward when you blinked. It doesn't help that so many quests can be missed, accidently failed or completed several ways leading to missing out on dialogues.

Adventure game combat is one of the worst things in the universe but it's not limited to that, it also brought along its horrific siblings, namely adventure game stealth and lockpicking minigame. Ugh.
Don't worry, soon enough Dreamfall realises its core mechanics are forgettable and just has you walk around talking to people, doing fetch quests and living the story.

Launched Demigod I got in a bundle, looked at the 20 items in the shop, watched the AI mill about never really commiting to anything, realised the only way i would learn was reading wiki builds and playing MP, and that as a DOTA the MP would be caustic. Gave up, uninstalled.

A damn shame, its really quite pretty.

Skyrim. My friend showed me a mod that lets you have proper keybindings. It's changed the entire game for me and I can finally play as a caster. It feels like playing a mmo rotation but awesome.

Extra Hotkeys - you won't find it on the workshop (at least I couldn't) but it's on Nexus. It lets you assign something like 20 basic hotkeys of whatever keys you want, then you can use modifier keys to add more, so F1 and F1+Shift can be for two different things. It's pretty cool.

Ran around the first mission in Thief bashing everyone with the blackjack. I need to pour some HD sauce on it before taking it seriously.

Played a bit of Eversion, regret buying it.

Finally got around finishing the Scenario in RCT 2. Picked Infernal Heights and was told to make 10 rollercoasters with at least a 6.00 rating. Not too hard but the money tends to run out when I build one

Did you buy it on sale? If not, then I can see why. It gets a bit more puzzle-y in the later levels. I'd still say it's worth finishing.

I've started The Witcher again, and had the good sense to jack up the graphics options now. I forgot to look at those since I'm so used to the game deciding for me. I could slide everything to maximum with no discernable performance increase; only anisotropic filtering was giving me a bit of screen tearing at 16x. It looks quite pretty now. I like the little details like the fish swimming around in a bowl and birds flying out of a bush. Maybe I'll get some screenshots later.

Finished Trine 2: the goblin menace. Short, fun, looks great.

Didn't have much spare time this week, so I mostly played The binding of Isac, but can't seem to to reach the final boss. But even replaying the same levels over and over again, is great fun. Random generation at it's best.

Gave up on Risen 2. The game design is so bad, that I always feel that I'm not playing the game but against it.

After reading John's piece about Kingdoms of Amalur, I think I'll give it another shot when I have more to time for that.

Pimping for the Atomic Wrangler has never been so hilarious and awkward while making feel so guilty at the same time. I never expected the Ghoul Cowgirl would buy into this 'escort' business and she seems like a nice person too. WHAT HAVE I DONE?

IIRC you can just warp back to where you were, right Daft? And gear's in a chest? It's been a while since I played, and I might be thinking DS1

Yeah there are teleporters but the thing is when you lose your gear near some really neat enemies, you can't retreieve it back with your 2 dmg sword :| So fuck this,i can't take it anymore. Stupid design decision, give me quicksave..!!
