Still Defense Grid. Up to 81 of 87 achievements.

I noticed a glitch, which I hope is limited to a couple of maps, but it's hard to know; if you fast forward on that evil You Monster map where you only have Command towers, your towers do less damage than when you play on normal speed. Pretty odd, and rather critical, especially on that map, but maybe it's due to the Temporal towers actually speeding enemies up rather than slowing them down. Perhaps the game's timing can't handle the double speed. If so, then the glitch is probably on one other map too.

Makes me wonder, though. If the glitch isn't limited to those two maps, it could make a rather large difference.

MacGuffin had just enough plot to keep me hooked after I got a bit sick of pushing blocks around (although it did a decent job of getting me interested again toward the end, if I recall). I don't know if this is the case with Ittle Dew, as I haven't played it yet.

Edit: On-topic, played just enough of Shelter to find out that the animal sounds really annoy the dog (i.e. a few seconds). Another one for the headphones, then. I think I'll go back and finish / get a decent ending in Papers, Please and then play with Sir, You Are Being Hunted a bit more, so as not to have too many games on the go that I genuinely want to finish.

do I get something like a shitty ending if I kill too many monsters in a single game in Silent Hill 3? I know you could in Origins which is bullshit but does that apply to 3 as well?

After a decade of constant revolts, crappy income as most provinces did not pay any tax I had to change from absolute monarchy to republic in Empire:TW
It solved all my problems, no more stupid unrest, no more whining, no more watching every single provinces on whether they will revolt this turn or not, no more constant boring fights with rebels.

It allowed me to finally expand my borders and just declared war on Persia. Afghanistan is mine and slowly converting it to Hindu religion so 911 can't happen.

Back on Borderlands 2 again. After the most annoying 10-20 minutes between Saturn and the Info Stockade, I found a level 59 Sham in a locker in Sanctuary. The problem is I'm still using a lv47 Order (I'm lv59) for a reason, the reason being I'm a fully melee-built Krieg. Still, it was appreciated.

As someone just said, Macguffin has plot elements and sidequests as well as a bit of witty story banter to keep you progressing - but Ittle Dew sells itself as being a stripped-down and basic "just the fun" game and so it doesn't have those things.

I've arrived at the boss you have to defeat once you get the portal wand and I have no interest it progressing - all it means is I'll get an Ice wand and there's more bricks.

I've never been a fan of games which witter-on with narrative and other gubbins but you cannot underestimate the 'what happens next' element when it comes to making you do more and more and more block pushing.

Someone said 3 hours - erm, I think I've probably spend 80/90mins on it thusfar and I have little desire to spend any more.

If the controls weren't so bloody poor I might be more enervated about it.

I have to admit that Shogun 2 (or any total war game for that matter) is not for me.
not because I think they are not good (not at all), but because every time I start a game I feel that in order to play it properly, I need to put other games and some life activities aside and it's not quite possible for me, most of the time. So, i'm not giving up on the current game at the moment and hopefully I'll get hooked and find a way to play it in short bursts.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown: Classic Ironman, with Not Created Equally and Hidden Potential. I'm on my twelfth restart, my best run lasting about six missions before I budged things spectacularly. Currently I'm on the world's longest escort mission (that Slingshot one with the infinitely-respawning Thin Mans can blow me) and I realized I need something less nerve-wracking to play on the side sooo.... Condemned? Amnesia?

It's unquestionably a game which demands a lot of time and investment. It's not a downside exactly becuase it's that scope which allows for such epicness, but it's difficult to really get into if you don't have that time to give it. Life's too short to feel bad about videogames though, do want you want with your time and don't feel bad if you can't get into it. I usually have to play it or other sorts of immersion heavy/long games (eg Witcher 2) either on a holiday which I've specifically put aside for gaming time, or when my wife is away for a long weekend or something.

There's no rush, it will always be around to play for the forseeable future.

Precisely the reason I need to take a holiday or make sure wife is away when I want to play them : /

Started playing Daggerfall a few days ago. It's my first time trying it and I'm quite surprised how addicting it actually is.
The combat is really fun, but can be tricky if you don't know a few tricks, I found out.
My first character didn't even make it out of the first dungeon before getting plague. First I noticed I randomly lost health and stamina while resting, but didn't think much of it. It was only when I finally reached the exit and I attempted to fast travel to Daggerfall that it occurred to me to click the compass to check what was up. So I scrapped that character and re-created her with immunity to disease.

The default control scheme is horrible though. Sure, it's a reasonably old game, but I don't recall seeing many octopusmen in the 90's. But once I got proper controls it was wonderful. Not being used to having such good mouse view, or any for that matter, in an old game it was great. I usually play Doom and Heretic without mouse.

Got back into Killing Floor last couple of days, maxed two perks, which leaves me with just medic, berserk and demo to finish, medic being about halfway done. Considering how long I've had it i'm surprised it's taken me this long to get half of the perks fully leveled.

Oh and CK2, gotta get that world spanning Irish empire ready for when I eventually buy EU IV.
