I've only just now gotten around to playing the original Bioshock. It's disgraceful, but now that I've finished Infinite, there's no excuse not to.

    Played SR4 100%.

    Twice.

Played SR2 again. Would be playing it right now if it didn't keep crashing after an hour.

Playing SR3 to 100% for the third time.

    This.

Also - finished Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons, Well One Assumes That's What They'd Be. A solid, story-driven, (mostly) linear adventure. Good, not great: a couple of moments of utter genius, but the game part as in the purely mechanical experience of play is sorely under-developed. Also, while the art design is similarly accomplished - mostly good, a few stretches excellent - technically it seemed weirdly shallow. Lots of low-resolution textures, crude FX, great stretches of empty terrain. It's pretty, but you can definitely see the joins.

Starbreeze are an odd studio. Even when they outdo themselves they still can't resist doing some tremendously dumb things - The Darkness suffered from this, and so did Riddick. The basic story in Brothers is sound, and the use of emotion far outstrips most videogames around, but there are a couple of glaring missteps - one character is kinda poorly done by, and the big finale is phenomenal for the most part, but left me with the nagging certainty it wasn't quite the big, bold gesture the devs were making it out to be. Still, much, much better than I expected after playing the first few minutes, and as always, it boggles my mind that the outfit which started out peddling utter rubbish like Enclave and that Knights Templar game has ended up making some of the smartest, most affecting narrative-driven games in the industry.

I'm playing through Gratuitous Space Battles right now. I got it in one of the Humble Bundles sometime ago. It's not really my kind of game, but it's been growing on me as of late. It's been giving me a sort of plotting mastermind feeling during gameplay. I found myself doing this more than a few times.

Still playing some Defense Grid, but not so much anymore (288 hours, the ~220 of them in the past month).
Managed to get 83 of 87 achievements, but the rest will take a long time.

Tried Tower Wars, but that looks like a case of not quite honest advertising in that you apparently can't play its main TD mode in single player, except for the one tutorial map, otherwise only a classic mode that isn't very interesting is available. That pisses me off a little.

    Delve Deeper
seems to be the same, or maybe I just can't find the single player stuff.

Tried Tidalis and I think I may play that a little pretty often. It gets a bit too hectic or frustrating for long stretches, but a game or two once in a while should be nice.

Now both my preferred Logitech mice have decided to start double-clicking on all buttons, so I wonder what I can play (I do have some no-name and some low DPI Microsoft spares, but they don't fit my hands so well).

Playing Saint Row3... And now I have a zombie invasion to fight...

My non-gamer girlfriend * was looking over my shoulder at some point and said: "this game is beautiful and cartoony but it looks completely crazy". And them "you just got hit by a rocket and run over by a truck, is the character a superhero ? "

She's right and I can't wait to try SR 4 to find out how the character can be even more super ...

*= Should I still say gf after 12 years and 2 kids ?

I think it's really hard because of the massive amount of active abilities. I'd much prefer a saner amount, or less units so I can keep an overview.

I bought a new laptop and started installing a few games on it just in case and I figured that I might as well put a couple classic games on it too because why the hell not.

Then I installed Baldur's Gate and my week-end was gone.

Oh well, at least the Nashkell Mines are safe again.

I was wondering what the fuss around Euro Truck Simulator 2 was all about, so I tried the demo. Ohdear it's amazing. It's an effin' truck simulator but it's ridiculously engrossing and well made. Also tried Sanctum 2, seems cool.

I'm playing UFO: Afterlight. I have almost completed it (For the third time) and I just keep finding new things.

This time round I am finding a couple of new weapons and a few new researches that I didn't find in my previous two playthroughs. It's not X-Com. But it's a bloody good re-imagining!

Yeah, ETS2 is definitely one of my games of the year. I'm really looking forward to the first DLC, should be out this week or the next.

Much! But then I would say all of the UFO: After series is better than the new X-Com. The new one is just a series of missions (Bloody well done missions if a bit samey) pretending to have a strategic over lay.

But while the rest of the world are congratulating Firaxis for making a worthy successor. I am cursing them for making it universally accepted to make a dumbed down, relatively boring version of X-Com. Whereas UFO: After series seems to get far less love.

Each to their own I guess.

First thing you'll wanna' do is turn the speed down for the Real-time battles. I think it starts off at The Flash.

What Am I playing? oh yeah thats right, Assassin Creed 3. Again. I have played it past the 10 hour mark and err I don't know. The story was pretty good when drunk but pretty much everything is good when drunk so it doesn't really count. I was really getting into in, the plot, the little twist but when sober its bullshit as usual, Conner, the main char is about as exciting as a empty packet of Viagra. I liked the little history lessons it gives you about the the war but the way they write it, its just so poor, they always have to throw in a really cheese baked joke thats about as funny as cancer and I can't read anymore, just give me the fucking facts for god sake.

The sides missions....are ok but there are so many of them, the game is so bloated, so many things to do, so many locations I can't even see the actual map. Its still slightly buggy, twice I have fallen through the world and I have been stuck on that rock sprayed with superglue(damn you!) I'm bored with it again so i'll probably play it after another few months. Its one of those games.

I used to dream about those games when I was younger. Open world, random combat, hell I thought Final Fight at the arcade was the pinnacle of that stuff but not anymore, Dark souls is the only game thats kept me playing like that. It truly is genius. Also playing Diablo 3 again but thats another story.

I managed to get Blade Runner working. Never got to play it before. It seems to be quite the thing.

Oh that wonderful moment when it does...I'm in the middle of my second playthrough but I can't muster up the will\mood to explore the Blighttown swamp.
Instead, I'll just play Euro Truck Simulator 2. I'm seriously starting to realize it's one of the best games I've played this year.
