Probably when they're planning to turn off the multiplayer servers?
But what does that have to do with single player DLC?
I'm amused that they've called it an extended cut, implying the inclusion of previously removed, already completed content that didn't make the 'original cut'. That is, rather than hastily compiled, additionally created OHSHITOHSHITFIXIT content.BioWare has announced the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, a free download for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 that addresses the controversial ending of the game.
I don't have any facts (obviously), but maybe this could be delivered through the Online Pass bit of the game, which would probably be switched off along with the servers. But yeah, I'm just rambling.
Urk. I guess I shouldn't start playing the game this month?

*blush* I'm flattered by the attention boys, but please let's not make the thread about liddle old me
Damn, I could have waited for a better sale!
I like how Hudson describes it as giving 'even more context and clarity'. Heh.
Either way, good for them - I might give it a try in due time, but as I only completed ME and ME2 with two characters, I will probably only see it once if I ever go back to ME3. It's not going to do much to change how I experienced ME3 last month, is I guess what I'm trying to say. Not that anything could, which is probably why I wasn't too keen on the whole 'Retake ME3' crowd, even if I do agree with most of their complaints about Mass Effect 3's ending.

Well if it's just a bit after the existing ending, which I imagine it will be, then surely it has the potential to turn everyone's mind around entirely on the whole thing, given the current ending apparently caused everyone to hate the 30 hours before.
Careful everyone! Don't spoil it!
NOTE TO EVERYONE WHO DOESNT WANT IT SPOILED: DONT READ THE NEXT GUY'S COMMENT.
A bit inconsiderate, if you ask me.

I'll be happy as long as they explain why the hell Joker took the Normandy out of there. With a GOOD reason, please.
That's the only bit that caught me truly, truly off guard when I saw the spoilers, with the added punch of Bioware seeming to forget that two of the fan favourite crew members can't survive in whatever paradise eden restart environment they think they're giving us folks. I really wouldn't minded at all if they went in a blaze of glory with the rest of the fleet, or if they slowly starved with the rest of the fleet, or whatever, but what the hell was that? (I can think of a 'fix' where Joker landed on a planet with the only method of resetting the mass relays based on last-ditched information nobody heard or something, but even that makes no sense.)
I don't really mind if Shepard dies, it fits the theme well enough and she's died once before. But that. I minded that.
Why did thousands of people complain about Mass Effect 3's ending instead of Mass Effect 3's gameplay?
