I'm a member of the RPS Blood Bowl group and I barely ever remember to log into their chat. But I'm happy to add my habitual absence to the main group too.
Yes! Not often in chat though, whenever I join it seems to be halfway through a complicated discussion on the relative merits of mid-'90s first- and third-person shooters, or something else I know equally little about.

Yes indeed. It's a helpful place to get advice about games and hardware, as well where many impromptu gaming sessions occur. Just the other week I saw a 4-5 player game of some free open source game get started inside of 15 minutes, where no one had played before.
