By the way, for anyone using adobe reader: Google told me that this checkbox in the options gets rid of that annoying "please fill out this form" bar.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties with the character sheet, all. I'll see if I can get that sorted tonight.
For Technics ppl, you'll have to keep track of that under the Abilities column because it isn't listed among the standard skills. Not very convenient, but since it will be a character-defining trait, it should be pretty memorable. Will there be an Edison vs Tesla pairing in our future? Harlander, keep in mind that as an artificer, you would kinda be a technomage, what with the infusing items with magic. Plus the whole Propel Craft thing is awesome!

I'm trying to figure out if artificer or pathfinder fits the concept better; depends where the emphasis between scout/technician lies.

I did a background for Mister Tharg and completed the character sheet. He's got +19 for athletic checks - I didn't even do that on purpose - and I plan to make unfeasible leaps over things at least once an episode, even if no leaping is required.

Well, I downloaded the latest version of Reader (XI), and it appears to open and save the file without issue. Without knowing what programs y'all use, I can only suggest using that one to edit the templated PDF. Foxit would be an alternative, although you wouldn't have all of the autocalc stuff I added.
Thanks to those who have submitted character sheets/background details; PW and Screwie, you can take your pick of either 1 extra Faith Point or a 100g bonus. A couple of things I'd like to address:
* Everyone starts with a "1" in the "1/2 level" bonus; most fractions round up in this game.
* Those who do not follow a deity not only miss out on Faith Points, but you also enter a nasty purgatory when you die - essentially, a deity would have to be convinced to expend the effort to resurrect an athiest. It won't be automatic game over, but be aware of the drawbacks.
* The musket and hunting rifle stats do look backward, especially given their descriptions. Let's reverse those so that the musket is a shorter-range, harder-hitting weapon, and vice versa.

Well, the standalone reader deals with the file OK, it's just whatever I've got in my browser that isn't liking it.

Download the pdf. Use foxit reader, which is free. Save the form. Upload the form.
Nemo needs to add a bunch of 1s to the '+1/2 level" boxes, because you round up for that. Also I think you get a faith point at level 1 (which is the level that we are).

Aye I wasn't sure on the rounding, as 4th edition DnD (my most familiar RPG) always rounds down for the same kind of bonuses. I'll sort that out momentarily.
Also I'll be taking the money, thanks - it seems more appropriate :)

Hey, I might end up with a gnome as well. (Easier to fit a gnome in than a slyth, I think :p)
Looks like Commando and Scientist are the only themes which give a boost to Technics, seem right?

I also noticed that we have one character who hunts monsters like he's the Winchesters' half orc brother from another mother, and another character who wants to make monsters. There's a potential for conflict here.

You can barely carry anything. What have you got, 8 strength? I suppose you could carry a basic pack and a medium weapon, and still be able to carry three other small things.

One easy way around this though is that as I am a manufacturer of electrotech gizmos I have made one tailored specifically to me which is in the safe keeping of the healer/given to who ever is resurrecting me and its use has the same requirements, restrictions and outcome as a standard resurrection.
I will swap the current weapon for the longer ranged one then, I need the larger magazine size :)
I don't just want to create monsters, I want to create the ULTIMATE MONSTER. Tharg can amuse himself with my failed experiments in the meantime.

Hey, can I use a dwarven waraxe and still keep my deity happy? The god favours battleaxes, and a dwarven waraxe is basically a hand-and-a-half battleaxe that strength 15+ characters can use as a one-hander. I quite fancy rolling a d10 instead of a d8.
There are Heretics in the game, but that's a specific theme. You've already chosen scientist - you could always pick a vaguely science themed god and be a mediocre worshipper.
Or how about Tiamat, the crazy demon mother of monsters god? That god's mission is to bring monsters into the world to destroy it - your mission is to bring the Awesomest Monster into the world because Awesome. That's pretty close.
You're allowed to be one alignment step away from your god without any problems, and Tiamat is chaotic evil. You're chaotic neutral, right?

Yes i had str 8 or something, half orcs are for carrying things! May reduce charisma or wisdom and bump it up a bit
