Stuck the core of my background info in the dropbox, but it's not finished yet - still need to add a bit about the zoological society later.
Also pending: a visual description of my handsome fishman.

I'm not carrying your things, little creature. I'm already grumpy about dumping my spiked chain to go with just longspear, battleaxe, 3 javelins and knife.
The Faithless and the False. Yeah, that was all kinds of bullshit.
I have never understood the fascination that RPGs have with religion.
I plan to multiclass to mendicant at about level 7 (if we last that long). I will be concentrating on Gunslinger though, some of their advanced abilities sound fun (of the take a reflex save or die variety).

Holy crap i could ride a dog
@palindrome, I rather like the idea of a scientist creating a device for personal resurrection to spite the gods. However, I don't think you should start with it (clerics and the like don't get this ability until paragon tier). Building such a tool would make a great character goal. In the meantime...don't die!
@Harlander, yes, the Scientist and Commando have Technic-specific boosting capabilities. If you get Electrotech from a racial ability, you could take Specialist or Dilettante to get some skill boosts, too.
@PW, I won't quibble over the difference b/w a battleaxe and a dwarven waraxe with regards to the deity's favor, but don't expect dwarves to take kindly to a half-orc using one of their revered weapons.
@everyone, I've created a new thread for the game (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/foru...e-RPG-Funtimes) where you can post your character descriptions and any questions/issues that arise.
If they have a problem, I can always demonstrate exactly how well I can use it.
How about if I take my resurrection device as my lvl 6 major trait skill and have it work much like the Cleric revivify advanced ability (i.e. revived on 1 hp but status effects etc remain) but it only works on me. Alternatively I will be away for at least 1 weekend at the start of April (possibly 2) so I could be spending that time tinkering in a lab somewhere :)
I'm liking that idea, palindrome. I am envisioning a mk I, mk II, mk III progression here: perhaps the first version stabilizes you when you drop below zero wounds, the second one has the revivify properties you mention above, and the third one works as a personal raise dead. There will be some other conditions and costs, but this seems like a cool direction.
I may or may not be able to make it this evening, my Dad's been admitted to hospital and I don't know whether I'll need to be there or not, or for how long.
Unacosamedarisa: Egg, kiss me, you're beautiful.
Of course Egg, hope everything goes ok.
