Guy wishes the Takedown Kickstarter failed

    http://pietriots.com/2012/04/02/i-wi...tarter-failed/

The thing that bugged me about this was his associating everyone who enjoyed SWAT and the Rainbow Six games of old with red-blooded, war-mongering hawks. I wrote a comment under the name "Lamashtu" pointing out that despite my love for games like Falcon 4.0 and ArmA II I do have quite a liberal attitude to war and politics in general.

Why should this guy care if rubes spend money on Kickstarter?

Personally, I don't hold much stock in Kickstarter. I know it's successfully funded 50+ games thus far (according to Checkpoint) but I'm not aware of any games successfully developed. I see piles and piles of cash grabs, but no associated result. This particular cash grab just seems more cash-grabby than most.

In Swat 4, I take everyone alive going all non lethal, I wonder if the author can say the same for the crappy shooters he plays? regardless, his entire premise is moronic.

I expected the usual steaming pile of poop, but it is a bit funny to read.

I will never understand developers who feel the need to respond to trolling. Just...don't.

Well, the Venus Patrol kickstarter delivered the 3 games it promised. Granted they're fairly simple games, but still...

He was asking for $50.000, and most of the money was meant to help him start a new website. And hey, Newground or not Capsule was pretty awesome.
