Dishonored - Debut Trailer
Looks awfully similar to Prey 2 doesn't it. Perhaps they put Prey 2 on hold so as to not over saturate the market. One can only hope it hasn't been out-rite cancelled.
Any ways I'm digging the Victorian steampunk goodness.

Man, they really need to release a gameplay trailer for this. All this teasing makes me anxious!

I can't help but think that this is going to be the next one in the series of Bethesda published bombas.
Every game they published since 2005 except for TES and Fallout was a disaster. That's eight titles. inXile, Obsidian, Zombie Studios, Headfirst, Rebellion and Mad Doc - all went through hell while working with them.
Some massive mismanagement's happening there.

Prey 2 had an expensive looking CGI cinematic as well.
Anyway, I love the look and tone of that trailer. The armored car on tracks carrying some VIP and the "kaiser" uniforms look fantastic. The world they're crafting around the game seems to be quite unique. The only downside is that they have to pollute it with magic or superpowers or whatever.
Why does every damn game have to give you silly powers like that?

Judging from everything I have seen and read about this game you are going to be an superpowered unstoppable killing machine. I don't see where the challenge is in this game.

I liked the in yo face symbolism of the law enforcers walking on stilts literally above the common man.

That was very mediocre.

I have this feeling that the game will disappoint us all. We are expecting mix between Deus Ex/Half Life 2/Dark Messiah ..

I think it was nice CG, but if anything it lowered my expectations. The game mechanics sound really great, so it might have been better to show some game footage instead. But I'm sure a lot of people haven't seen the screenshots yet, so this is an attempt at getting them interested in the world of the game. Games shouldn't be judged by trailers anyway.

I have horrible memories of Dark Messiah so I'm not too excited.

I remember there was a ladder in the first level that you couldn't climb. This was some sort of bug and the only work around was to noclip up to the next area.
Another bug was missing sound files, a lot of the sounds simply played a static noise instead of whatever dialog or effects they were supposed to be.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch more but I do remember raging on the game's message board along with a lot of other people.
By the time they patched it I didn't really care anymore, I played it for a few hours and never touched it again.

I'm interested in Dishonored but frankly this one trailer isn't anything to write home about.

How practical is it to have a 4 wheeled carriage, each wheel requiring its own rail to move along?
I liekd Prey 2's trailer more, although this pretty much follows the same route.
