May I ask why is the thread you want to make so important that you feel the need to spam the forum?

I have a bajillion posts but I think I've only thought a topic important enough to warrant new thread perhaps a dozen times.

To me, registering solely to create a new thread says to me that this is merely a stop in your cross-forum advertising campaign, especially if you don't want to join in any other discussions.

Stubborn, arrogant, unrespectful, IN YOUR FACE

Well, I cannot do it anyways, but I think that this is important, so I post it here

This is about the game Sniper: Ghost Warrior, and the attitude to the PC customer. They laugh, and shit all over the customer face this way:

    http://forums.steamgames.com/forums/....php?t=1688450

Of course, dumb developers made the game with an 70 FOV, and no way to fix it. Not even editing files.

So, of course, the customers ask for a fix on Steam, and the company answer this:

    Code:
    No cigar here
    We do care.
Ok. Thatís sound good. And dude got an attitude -"no cigar here"-.

Letís see how much they care:

    They say this:

    Code:
There's no "fix" per se, because nothing is broken . As far as tweaking the FOV - I've just talked with the devs and they flooded me with a lot of technobablle . In a nutshell, it's not possible - too many things would be not as they should if you tampered with FOV in SGW. Sorry .
Then they show his lack of respect this way:

    Code:
Sheesh, show some respect to the devs who spent their time and money to create a game for you. If you aren't happy, then fine, but don't go stuffing your opinion down other peoples throats. No changeable FOV, bad luck.

Robert, is it possible at all that there is an aim toggle option? Even by editing some .ini files or something?

    Cheers.
They literally demand ďsome respectĒ from a valid complaint from a customer who gave them his money.
Then they demand self-censorship from the customer literally saying ďdon't go stuffing your opinion down other peoples throatsĒ

    FUCK THEM!!!

Then they follow with ďNo changeable FOV, bad luckĒ.

I canít believe. Fuck you. You have bad luck. You gave us your money, and we donít give a fuck. We totally shit all over your face. LOSER.

    Code:
As for editing ini files, It's company policy not to support these sort of tweaks officially. Many of these cases end up with players breaking their game and blaming us for it . You can try to fiddle with them on your own though... .
    Code:
No it's not. It's they're working hard on SGW2 and Enemy Front and some other games and prioritizing "fixing" something, that is not broken, is counterproductive at this point.
    Code:
First of all, you seem to confuse "giving feedback" with "giving demands". Guys, nobody forces you to buy anything. Adjustable FOV is important, but not as important as polishing other parts of gameplay that are "requested by many". Somebody makes those decisions and makes them for a reason based on solid research.
And then this is the answer to another user

    Code:

This one is in the top 5.

    -edit, maybe top 3.
Let's recap. You spend XX million dollars/euro to develop a game on various platforms, of which the PC is the least selling one, and you should base your development decisions on how many views a forum thread has. Great. Cut2TheChase, man, I really do appreciate the effort a lot of you put into posting ideas and concepts you think are sound, but please, leave the business models, decision making and development handling to the people that really, I mean really, know their stuff, OK? As long as you talk about your views on the game, of what's wrong and what should be fixed in YOUR opinion - that's really awesome and welcome. But when you start to tell people how to perform their jobs - that's a no-no. And not because I it's "forbidden" or anything - it's not. It's just because, well, to put it lightly, you lack the professional know how to assess 80% of the processes you don't even realize making games consists of.
    Oh, the irony...

Thank you for confirming that the PC is not your primary platform for development, here on Steam, a PC platform. OK.

    Edit- Robert, dude...FAIL
We do care. But we have a long list of things to care about too. It's up to you whether you only see what's important for you and discard other gamers or if your "FOV" is broad enough to see the bigger picture and not only the tip of your own...gun. Cause that's a fail. IMHO. I think the thread exhausted itself.
So, he is not only making fun of the abused customer, but also makes sexual jokes.

This is how unrespectful and aggravating this company is.

I encourage to sign in Steam, and throw all the frag over these dudes. They really need some education.

And by the way CI Games (formerly City Interactive) is the company who made this game, and this is a list of all the games made or published by that company (from Wikipedia).

The spam situation before this was sillier.

So, I have a technical support question, as I've been unable to post comments on articles for the past three days or so. However, as I've never had a reason to use the forums, I need to make 10 posts before I can start a thread about my issue. In the absence of a technical support contact section on the website proper, this doesn't seem like an ideal situation. Now, I'm no expert when it comes to the abilities of spambots, but it seems to me that a captcha requirement prior to posting would be a better solution.

All that being said... can anyone help me with this comment issue? I don't believe it has anything to do with a ban, as I have always been a well-behaved and mature poster. I don't get any sort of error message; the page just reloads like it normally does after a comment, sans my contribution. The problem occurs each and every time I post, regardless of the content of the message. Any thoughts?

Sorry, missed that. As a mod I'm sure you know how it is, the best way to ensure that 99% of people don't read something is to pin it to the top of the forum. :)

My username on RPS is the same as it is here, JanusForbeare. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
