I'd never had a go at them either (the Zero Punctuation reviews seem to match my tastes pretty well and his vedict was "well written dull FPS in space"), but bought ME2 and... Thought it was a well written dull FPS in space, got bored after three hours and gave up. Reading this, though, I'll have a go at ME1 and see if engenders any more attachment to the characters (apparently the primary motivation for continuing through).

For what it's worth, the point where ME2 got switched off was when my Astro-PA said of my big basilisk/tiger power-armour suited mate that she "Just wanted to give him a hug and tell him everything was going to be all right", and there was no option to smash the heel of your boot into her face and throw her out of an airlock.

So your dislike of the game stems from your inability to beat up and murder women? Interesting.....

No offense Eduardo, but you did imply an desire to beat up and murder a woman there, and noted that you did not like that you could actually do so in the game. That is not a view point we get often.

Ah well, thought we were making some progress. At least you've admitted I wasn't being misogynystic - that I was being overboard in a way that had nothing to do with the character's gender.

Grizzly - the key comment there being a woman. What about Just Cause - isn't the main baddie you have to kill female? I mean, how do you kill her without harming a woman? ME2 is a game which involves killing people of many races and species and genders - what, did you go through the game only killing dudes?
