Interesting to note that the spam threads that have even just one reply get over a thousand views, whereas the spam threads with no replies get only a handful. Does one reply make the forum software automagically push it out to Google's search bots for them to find and index?

Out of curiosity, how many of you actually report spam posts ? I do.

Spam solution not really working out, then. I will try something else this week.
This is the real problem with Report functions - either you have to wait for a mod (which is the problem here) or it uses some automated system which is rife with abuse.
to be honest, I stopped reporting stuff because of the 60s time delay thing. Id just get more and more frustrated, and thats not really helping anyone. I just want them all to die.

Same here. When there are a bunch of spam threads, I find the one with the fewest views, report, continue forumming normally, then after I think a minute has passed I'll flick back and do the second-fewest, etc.
Edit: the grammar in this post is awful, sorry about that. Not sorry enough to change it though, because I'm tired.
I offered to help out as i'm on there quite a lot during the day at work but they didn't even acknowledge my email.
I'm sure one of the mods mentioned that you only need to report one thread/post per username and they can do a mass delete of all posts by that person. Seeing as most of the threads are posted by just one username at one time you only need to report the once and thus shouldn't come across the 60 second delay too often.

Well, it seems they've taken it to the next level: spam bots answering to the threads of competing spam bots. This is so ridiculous it's almost funny.
