There's a segment at the start on the uncanny valley. Someone has done research that says that, essentially, you can conquer the uncanny valley by making Barney's eyebrows move up and down.
Here's the thing: Ricky Gervais is also on the programme talking about his new show, which features both him, Stephen Merchant, and that other guy talking about... stuff. But neither he nor the presenters mention that both him and Stephen Merchant have been in games. Gervais was in GTA 4 as himself, and Merchant was in Portal 2 as Wheatley.
And this is highly salient because Gervais had a realistic representation in GTA 4, where he was both creepy and unfunny, and Merchant voiced a talking sphere, where he was empathetic and hilarious. They're doing a piece on the uncanny valley and they miss the opportunity to illustrate it perfectly.
It's not the biggest journalistic fail of all time- see the Leveson enquiry for that- but it's still pretty tragic.
