Torture, from a BBC article on the 9/11 trial

    From: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-17966362

Usually the BBC is a rather good source for news, but if you go to the bottom of the article, it says: "CIA documents confirm that he was subjected to simulated drowning, known as waterboarding, 183 times."

Seriorusly? That's more than once per fortnight for six years. It's way past ridicuolus. How could this happen? Did they use him to teach soldiers how to torture?

No, there has to be a mistake. Somewhere?

Maybe they/someone just didn't like him very much.

The Americans seem to have rather carefully planned it, actually. But in any case, that number's been out there for a while, or at least something in that range.

Thanks for the links. It's still rather horrible (and the first link makes it even more so).
