If Dilbert qualifies then I put forth Foxtrot, the newspaper strip. Some caveats: I've read this comic off and on for over a decade, so I'm endeared to the characters at this point. The strip is just about a family. And final strike against, the strip went to weekly updating some time back. So these are its twilight years, probably.

On the plus side, Jason is a little geek and the comic can feature some pretty geeky stuff. Comics, science fiction, technology, and video games have been given more panels in recent years than have awkward teenage foibles. Lots of strips available in the archives or as paper collections from book stores, so you can enjoy for some time if you haven't been reading it. I think even the older ones are still fun to read.

Here's a strip about the SW:TOR
And an awesome one about everyone's favorite TV doctor

While not biting or always hilarious, FoxTrot is comfortable, pleasant, and sometimes surprising. A nicely done strip that will stay amoungest my favorites of the last couple of decades.
