We're struggling to come up with good boys names (We had plenty of names for girls lined up, but sprog decided not to play ball).
So, help me name our son*. If we can slip in some kind of gaming reference in there, all the better.

As for names it does depend on the surname, wouldn't want to have one of those unfortunate "what were the parents thinking?" moments! I'd imagine you don't want a "Michael Hunt" on your hands!
I think its good if you can make the first letters of the names make a word.

His surname initials will be T R, which makes it pretty hard to form a word. We could of course reverse them, but the surname flows better in this order.
Cain? Manuel? Gabriel? Simon? -> Diablo, Grim Fandango, Newell, The Sorcerer.
I would go for Gabriel. Avenging Angel + Fat Overlord reference, in the same name.

Your kid either is the kind who can be picked on, or is not. Every kid in the schoolyard fits in the former category save one or two, who are untouchable and in the latter. You actually want him in the former. He will turn out to be an arsehole if part of the latter.
So what matters isn't avoiding having your kid picked on. It's going to happen at some point. What really matters is how your kid responds to the insults. Odds are his reaction'll be such that he won't become a victim, because most kids don't.
...So in that case, you're almost better feeding the bullies the scapegoat of an odd name instead of risk your kid gets exposed to genuinely hurtful insults, based on weight/accent/mom's promiscuity?
