    Would you buy a 1st-person point-and-clicker?

EDIT: I've started working on this

    Play Alpha 3: http://bitrim.org

    ------

Think Myst/Amnesia(without free-roam)/Escape the room, but in full 3D, and with a much higher concept story/setting. That means not some weird Myst world or a generic Cthulhu horror.

Let's say they were episodic-style, and maybe 2.99-4.49 ($4.80-7.30) each.

There already seems to be a person that has beaten you to it. i.e "http://www.bigfishgames.com/#" seem to have come up with a concept but WITH a weird story line (that well. Suites the genre of play).

I'm making one already. And it'll blow your face...off.

I don't like Big Fish's adventures. They feel like cheap flash games. My adventure will be full 3D with dynamic shadows/lighting.

My games wont be as big a project as that was, so sales won't be an issue. The graphics would be just as good.

I was thinking of releasing the first one for free.

What if it was set in a WoW-type world? Or 3D Dot Heroes, or Sword & Sorcery.

Actually, yes. I'd totally buy that. But the story is really something that would have to hit the nail on the head. Not another horror is a good start :).

To be honest, I'm smiling imagining a version of Amnesia/Penumbra that's not too scary for me to play.

You might be tempted after playing the free version...who knows...

That's possible, but probably a lot less talking, and a little bit less realistic style so the art is easier to create. It would be fully voice-acted too.

Well I do admit that Big fish games are Very Flashy feeling they do have a very dedicated fan base and make tones of revenue. But if you managed to pull something off similar to heavy rain on the PS3 (I know, I know. Consoles are swear words) then I would be seriously interested in it

    Hopefully without the walk button.

First person will be interesting but it will be the story, puzzles and atmosphere that will be what decides if I buy it.

If you waste your time dropping vague hints in a forum this game will never get made.

Something like Scratches? Or Rhinannon: Curse of the four branches? Or Barrow Hill?

Sure, if it has a good story and puzzles. Especially if it has a dark or creepy tone (scratches was great).

I'll buy any good point and click. Being in first person perspective wouldn't put me off at all.

Same style as Scratches, except with a 3D camera.

Check this tech demo I've made. It's not even close to being finished, but most of the main features are their in their basic forms. There's no game here.

That was also one I looked at, except you can walk around anywhere. I could do walk-anywhere versions later.

The first game in the series is click-to-walk
