Fuck. (picture of a spambot being clever)
Seriously, that is troubling. Either someone is posing as a spambot, or they are copying random comments by trolls and real contributors, then posting up a link, thats disguised as something else.

The bot problem in general seems really bad at the moment.
There's a lot of new posters on the forums (not just the site) who look legit but aren't. It's getting annoying.
Blimey, thats a little worrying.

When asked, he merely responded with a wry bleat followed by a swift kick to the testicles.- Rakysh
The forum has some users with suspicious usernames as well but are replying in threads like normal folks. It's so confusing.

You've got to keep in mind that a lot of the time it could be real people, not bots. Blame Amazon.
weekendwarrio.rs - We've got more games than time...
I still think it's possible to put a stop to this. Here are a few ideas:
1. add some game trivia captchas, so the spammers need to know a thing or two about PC gaming before they can sign up
2. bring in some kind of endorsement system, where mods have to ok the first new post by a new user (how many of those can there be per day?)
3. actually here's a simple one. disallow links in comments until a certain number of comments have been made. Actually that could lead to a lot of nonsense filler comments, but honestly, how would we tell?
