On topic, why did this guy get judged on UK courts for hacking and manning botnets, and that student that shared books get extradited?

I think it's because the Law hasn't caught up with new Technologies and the abuse of those Technologies and the crimes that come along with all of that. It's all a bit confused and inconsistent these days.

Is also probably down to WHO wants to see them prosecuted. These ones (LulzSec), it'll be the CPP or whatever in the UK that want to see them prosecuted. The guy getting extradited, it's probably a US company that want them prosecuted. I am no Lawyer though, so that's just my reading of it.
