No objections on my part - I do have a soft spot for "Rock Paper Scythe" myself. We might end up having to recreate it if progress gets wiped after the tech test / beta ends, though.

All hypothetically speaking, of course. I can't imagine a respectable, well bred RPS forumite going around breaking NDAs willy-nilly.

So... anyone got into closed beta yet? Its Monday but my inbox is disappointingly empty.

I'm going to wait for server up-times to be announced for this week and schedule an RPS get-together for when the beta opens; probably later on this week or the weekend.

There seems to be some issues around outift creation & naming (i.e: "Rock, Paper, Scythe" is now an imossible name as the character that created it was wiped, but the outfit not so I cannot create a new outfit with that name...) But as it stands outfits do sweet FA. The best option is to hop on mumble and form a squad (or two)

I imagine the closed beta invites might well be in 'waves' and not everyone will get in the first wave; hopefully in a few weeks we'll be able to have a large RPS contingent going...

I am slightly concerned I will fuck up but I hope the rest of the Outfit will be understanding while I am still learning.

I'm good at tactics and strategy though, so I can help out in leadership and planning... just need to master mic chat.

Too many galaxy drivers forget they are a glorified bus driver and should behave as such, rather than trying to get into dog fights they should hug the treeline and ditch in craters or hard cover to drop off players.

Galaxy driver should be allergic to weapon fire. If I do play this you'll get to see a transport pilot who knows that rolls is relevant, but once I drop off my passengers, I'll try and pancake enemies with a vengeance.

A friend in the tech test told me that it starts at 10pm UK time (BST) and finishes at 6am (I think that's what he said). He's been getting a lot of sleepless nights recently...

So, IT HAS BEGUN!

Sadly we poor peasants with normal beta keys will have to wait a bit longer. Sadly SOE did not provide the client via torrent, so others could already preload and seed without hammering the servers. Would have been a nice thing to have. But I think they will handle the download directly via their own launcher, so not going to happen except from third parties.
