Nope and nope. Good tries though. I was wondering if anyone would mention Singles, and trying Dwarf Fortress was crafty.

Nope. Sure was a neat little game though. The news announcements get crazier and crazier as the years tick by past 2000.

Yes. Every so often intruders have to be fought off, and the group needs to prepare for this accordingly.

On it's own maybe, but with the other clues it's supposed to give you a fair idea.

- No XP
- Items you can never equip: Sword, Helmet
- Successor to another game
- Has mods
- Multiple conclusions
- You never see the player character
- You can visit more than one world during the game
- Game is available for a platform other than the PC, but it's not a console
- The game's title doesn't have a number in it
- The game is in 2D

No idea if this is easy or hard, but I'll add more hints if people don't guess it.
